So, I probably should have started doing reviews the moments I got my breast augmentation done back in June '19, but better late than never. Especially for the surgeon I went to, he deserves all praise I could ever give. So settle in, this is going to be a long post, but well worth the read! It will only let me post 10 picture per post so I will be splitting the whole thing into multiple posts with different stages.

At the beginning of my journey (this was about end of April/beginning of May) I lived in Virginia. I was recommended to check out Dr. Revis who is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After scouring tons of reviews and seeing his work, I sent him an email explaining what I wanted along with some pictures of what I had pre-op, all natural (those are attached). He emailed me back just a couple hours later and gave me his opinion and I decided he was the doctor for me.

I then contacted his office and started the process of booking my surgery date and getting all paperwork done since I lived out of state. That being said, the front office and his RN were amazing. They knew what they were doing, answered all my questions (I had a lot over a period of time), and were always super nice and professional. They helped me get all my paperwork and deposits in order and updated me well in advance when my final payment was due. They gave me all the information for the hospital so that I could give them my information and their payment and that process was super smooth as well. After all of this, I had an official booked surgery date of June 5th!

Leading up to the beginning of June, I was nervous, as I lived out of state, never met Dr. Revis face to face, and I was flying back to VA 3 days post op. I had prepared as much as one could, buying compressed sports bras, loose shirts, and staying off review sites so that I didn't stress myself out over nerves! Lol. When you're an out of town patient, your pre-op with Dr. Revis is the day before your surgery in his office and post-op the day after surgery in his office. All follow ups are done over email with pictures so he can see how you're progressing and give you further instructions on your progress. So my husband and I flew down the night before pre-op and settled into the hotel.

Pre-op day: That morning I was scheduled to meet Dr. Revis and go over the plan. I arrived at the office, front desk was super nice. I was taken back to my room where I met his RN. She then let me play around with the sizers so I could get somewhat of an idea of what I was getting. Looking back on it, I don't think they do the real thing any justice. At the beginning of my decision to get a BA, my original want was 500cc's. After talking to Dr. Revis about what I wanted (I had lost a good amount of weight and wanted my old boobs back essentially with some lift and projection) we decided to go 700/750cc as they were a little uneven.

A little about the good doctor... he is AMAZING. I was quite surprised on how well his bedside manner is. He is an all around happy guy and he definitely knows what he is doing and you can tell he enjoys it. I immediately lost all nerves and worries as soon as I met him and we started talking about the procedure. Any question I had, he answered with a quickness, whether it had been email, text, or phone call.

Day of BA: I didn't get much sleep the night before as I was excited for the next day. We showed up early to the hospital and waited to be called back. After what seemed like an eternity, it all started happening. I met all my other doctors and got set up. Dr. Revis comes in to start his mark ups and goes over the procedure. This is when I think it actually hit me that I was getting my boobs lol. Once again, he had answered any questions that I had left and thoroughly explained what was going to happen in the OR. After we finished, I was wheeled back and brought into the OR. Got places on the table and next thing I know, I'm out!

I woke up about an hour later, give or take a little, (I was only under about 45 minutes). My chest was tight and it hurt, but once they get those pain killers in you, it wasn't so bad.

The procedure: I went 750cc HP in my left and 700cc HP in my right, under the muscle with silicone implants. He used the Keller funnel to insert the implants after making the pocket. This allowed me to be on the table for the least amount of time and less invasive when it comes to inserting the implants. After stitched up, they placed steri-strips on the incisions and put a surgical bra on me.

After I woke up enough and was able to leave, we made our way back to our hotel where I slept most of the rest of the day. The first few days, I felt super bloaty and stiff. Make sure you have someone to help you for a little bit, as you won't be able to move your arms around too much or pull yourself out of bed without a struggle.

Post-op Day: The next day I go back to Dr. Revis' office for my post-op appt. He checks out everything and says all looks good, gives me a band to wear on top to help with dropping and I'm making my way back to the hotel. Leading up to the day I flew back home, I just laid in bed and kept it easy, only getting up to use the bathroom or to eat.
Flying back wasn't too bad until the very end, I was just ready to lie in a bed again and not move (but this was pushing like 10 hours of flying and connections). Over the next two weeks, I'm able to start moving again with little pain and the stiffness is going away. It's important to not push yourself. I made this mistake one day and had to resort back to not doing anything except watching tv in bed.
Over the next few weeks and months, I sent in pictures for progress and Dr. Revis responded with how they looked to him and any further instructions I needed (i.e. keep wearing the band, no more bras, now you can wear bras but no wire, etc.).

The whole process from start to finish couldn't have gone any better than I could have asked for. I'm over the moon on how my boobs look now and super pleased with the decisions I made with the help of Dr. Revis.
