550cc Saline Implants to 790cc Silicone

WORTH IT$7,000
I had 550cc moderate, saline implants. After having children and breastfeeding, I was left with very thin skin, bad implant placement and horrible rippling on the sides of my breasts. I decided to replace the saline implants with 790cc Mentor Memory Gel Xtra silicone implants. I chose these implants because they are filled more than other silicone implants so you are supposed to have less rippling. So far I am very happy.

Hiiii! Super excited to follow your journey as I am thinking of upsizing. I currently have 485 looking to get 800. Did you use the same surgeon as your first BA? Do they feel any different then your 550s? How was recovery compared to your first BA? What are your stats? Look to be similar to mine. Thanks for creating your review please continue to update. Thanks happy healing.

I did not use the same surgeon. He actually passed away. They do feel different. The Mentor Memory Gel Xtra are filled more which I think makes them feel firmer... At least so far! I am happy with the size as it only made me a DD. I am 5'6'' and 130lbs. The recovery was actually WAY easier than my first surgery!

What is your height and weight? We have almost the same current/goals is why I ask. I have 590uhp right now and am going to be getting 800hp in the next few years. Im wondering how your result would translate to me.

So I am now 3 months post op. The implants are definitely softer and have dropped. I definitely have to say that I am disappointed that I still have rippling on the sides when I bend over. I'm thinking I should have gone with the Natrelle Cohesive instead. I also think I may have a problem with the left implant as I now have a line/bubble underneath. I have a follow up appt with the surgeon in January and will see what he says.

Hi, I saw you got the mentor xtra which are more firm or suppose to be. I have my second BA in 18 days and I’m either going with 800cc UHP or the 790cc xtra. I want them more firm. I have 550cc HP silicone now and they were not big enough. I do not have any rippling Because apparently I had quite a bit of breast tissue from what my surgeon told me. Could that be the case if you have rippling and not the implant itself? Do you like the firmer feel? I already have silicone and am looking for anyone that has switched to the xtra because it’s either that or the UHP. Your breasts look nice and large and a great shape!

I hear the inspira Natrelle cohesive are not available in Canada, only the Soft Touch. So I wonder if the cohesive is being revised given the banning of the cohesive textured implants

I have rippling because I have thin skin from breast feeding and very little breast tissue left. So you should be fine. They told me the xtra were firmer because they are filled note but not much firmer than the UHP. I like how they feel but I think I would have gone firmer had I known. I was told the Natrelle implants are firmer than others. Especially the Natrelle Inspira Cohesive implants.

Yes, same happened to me with breastfeeding.

I was going to have a revision after breastfeeding this one but am thinking it may not make a difference

I went from saline to silicone and that did make a difference in the rippling for me. Although it didn't get rid of it entirely. If you also have super thin skin and tissue coverage then I would recommend looking into the Natrelle Inspira Cohesive. I guess the gel is way more cohesive than others which leads to less rippling. I now wish I had gone with those!

How do you like the size? Has the rippling gone away? Would you have gone bigger with overfilled saline to eliminate rippling?

I like the size. I would definitely not do saline. All the Drs told me that even overfilled saline ripples way more than silicone. If I could go back, I probably would have gone with Natrelle Inspira Cohesive implants.

You look fab! I’ve had 1 primary ba and 3 revisions. The first 3 were natrelle cohesive and now i have the mentor xtra and have vey little rippling. I also switched surgeons for my 3d revision which likely also played a huge factor in the success of my revision. Try not beat yourself up over your selection, I don’t think the natrelle would have made a difference. i think almost everyone with thin skin gets some degree of rippling when they bend over. I had rippling in my cleavage area even when i was just standing straight, so if i only get a tiny bit when bending over I am thrilled!
