2 weeks post op

2 weeks out! I feel good and mostly back to normal. I’ve had two post op appointments now and Dr says everything looks good. I return on Thursday and I’m looking forward to getting my steri-strips off so I can see the scars.
They are starting to drop and look a little more natural, but I know they still hav a long way to go! My rang of motion is good, but there are till a few things i have a hard time with...sometimes when I go to do something that involves my chest muscles they don’t feel as certain as they did before. Almost like they’re trying to figure out how to work around the implant. It’s a strange feeling, but not particularly painful. Otherwise all normal! No particular sensitivity or numb spots. They’re also finally more squishy!
New boob are great!

Day 6 Recovery

Hello lovely ladies! Some updates on my fort week post op:
I am so in love with them! They are already gorgeous and still have so much D&F to do until they’re settled. The first two days after surgery were the most difficult, but still not a bad as I expected. I was able to get in and out of bed and open water bottles and medications. My wonderful bf made s chicken stock from scratch and I’ve been drinking that and eating crackers for a week. I’m not nauseous, but the hydrocodone and flexeril really curb my appetite. On the note of the medications: I know some women don’t like to take them. I tend to lean on the “my dotor prescribed them and I trust him”. I have been keeping up with the muscle relaxer religiously every 8 hours and the hydrocodone whenever it’s painful. This helps IMMENSELY. At the end of the 8 hours I can definitely feel a difference- my boobs get hard and tight and feel like they’re going to pop. It’s an unpleasant feeling but not necessarily painful.
On day 2 of recovery I was allowed to shower and it was amazing. I was having a hard time sitting and not being able to at lest get clean. Something they don’t tell you, ladies, shave your armpits the morning of your surgery! If you’re anything like me, the armpit stubble is sooo uncomfortable and should be avoided at all cost. Also buy a spray deodorant in case you can’t lift your arms enough to really get a stick one in there. I got lucky that by day two i had great range of motion and was even able to wash my own hair!
Overall, every day gets a little more comfortable! Stay on top of your meds, get rest, and drink LOTS of water. Between the surgery meds and the pot op meds you will be extremely constipated (gross, but someone gotta say it!). I drank 3.5 cases of water this week and still had to double up on Miralax and Dulcolax for 2 days before I finally had a bowel movement. After that I felt less bloated and uncomfortable.
I’m also lucky that I have no numbness as of now! Even my nipples feel the same despite the incision. Dr Revis did an AMAZING job!!
I’ll keep updating as time passes and if anyone has questions about my procedure or what I experienced please reach out! Update pictures attached!

PostOp Day of

Hi people!
Picking up where i left off: once the nurses got started prepping me it moved very quickly. They put my IV in the back of my right hand, put massage wraps around my calves to prevent blood clots during surgery, and put a thick cushy stock pad on my tailbone to keep it from getting sore sitting in the bed! My anesthesiologist came by to introduce himself and order which meds he wanted for me. Then Dr. Revis came in with his bag of sharpies and marked the line of my collarbone and the outline of my natural breasts. He said it is so that he has a visual cue to line everything up during surgery.
All in all, other than the anesthesia, they gave me 3 different anti nausea meds, a Tylenol drip, and a mild sedative right before they took me back so I wouldn’t be nervous. The sedative hit me quick and all I could do was crack jokes and laugh hysterically for the 5 minutes i was sitting in prep. Then they took me back and...voila! I woke up in recovery 1 hour later!
I immediately noticed the tightness in my chest, you cannot ignore it. I felt a little pain at this time but nothing I didn’t expect. After that I dozed in and out in recovery for another hour before they released me to come home. Since then I’ve mostly been taking my meds and sleeping. Sleeping on my back isn’t awful and I have a lot more range of motion that I thought I would! Definitely get a wedge pillow for the incline and pile more pillows on that! I also recommend putting a pillow under your knees. It helps relieve so much tension in your back! I can open my water bottles and medications and get in and out of bed (veryyyy slowly!! Flex those ab muscles!!). Overall, good but drowsy on operation day!
I sneaked a peek and some pictures while my boyfriend went to pick me up some ramen! They look beautiful!
