Breast Augmentation. 5’6, 110lbs. 30AA. Goal: Natural Result. 275cc Mod Plus

I was recommended to see Dr Lao through a friend who was also interested in getting a procedure done. Although she went in for a nose job consult, she learned that Dr Lao also specialized in Breast Augmentations and so she referred me to him. I went in for a free consultation and definitely left with the impression that he was a surgeon that cared about the wellbeing of his patients and prioritized the patient's understanding of how the procedure works, risks, as well as benefits. Besides Dr Lao I also consulted with another surgeon and my advice is to always come in with a list of questions that you'd like to ask. Surgeons are usually asked so many questions and may forget whether or not you've already brought up certain topics so I suggest that you come in fully prepared to inquire about anything that you may be worried about. The first time I went in to see Dr Lao was sometime in the spring but it was towards the end of the summer that I decided to go through with the procedure.
Dr Lao kindly waived my second consultation fee and I felt assured that he was the right surgeon for me primarily due to the fact that he has double board certification and has experience working in Taiwan. I was interested in getting the Transaxillary incision through the armpit and was unwilling to settle with a doctor that only offered to insert the implant below the breast. Being discreet about the procedure was really important to me and I wanted to have the option of wearing clothing that could show off under boob if I so desired. There weren't many surgeons that had experience with this kind of incision and so that was the major deciding factor for me going with DrLao.
After the consultation I set the procedure for sometime in september but I have to say, during the month leading up to the big day I was extremely nervous and many times would go back and forth in my head about whether or not I wanted to continue through with the procedure. I did my research about all the risks and although I knew that there are results out of my control, I was doing this for my personal happiness. Dr Lao made the process much easier. Up till a week away from the procedure date I was still in contact with him because I was still hesitant on the size. Ultimately, I decided to go with (275cc). I was stuck between 275 and 250 unsure about which size to go with because I wanted a natural looking result. I did NOT want overly done, obvious breasts but I also didn't want to go too small. I appreciated the fact that he was patient with me flip flopping on what size I wanted to go with so close up to the surgery day.
Surgery day came and he answered any remaining questions I had while I was being measured etc. He had a very professional and calming attitude and I felt that I was in good hands.
After the surgery he told me what to expect and how to alleviate any discomfort. The first few days were quite painful and I highly suggest that you have a family member, boyfriend etc to take care of you the first 2-3 days because I could not use my own upper body to get out of bed to use the restroom etc. I was having difficulty breathing due to the tightness of the bandages and Dr Lao was easy to contact during this time for any issues I was having.
It has currently passed the 10 week mark and I have to say I am extremely happy with the results. During the first few weeks, my breasts took time getting used to because they were stiff and the right side was definitely harder than the other but now that time has passed, they have begun to drop and settle and feel much softer to the touch. I am in love with the way they look and am so happy I decided to through with the procedure despite my fears. The results look so natural I haven't had anyone ask me if I got anything done. I have gotten compliments that I look great in certain outfits and it makes me very happy. I would say this surgery was worth every penny and would recommend Dr Lao to anyone else. I will be following up with him for post op visits until the 1 year mark and my scars haven't faded yet but i'm sure with time they will be less and less visible.
I think if you are someone considering a breast augmentation make sure to do your own research and don't just rely on what others tell you or even just one surgeon tells you. Get a few opinions and be well informed. Also make sure you follow the instructions before and after surgery as that factors in to how well your results will turn out.
