Mom of 2 wanting fuller breasts
First off let me start my saying I've known I wanted breast implants since I was in middle school. I wasn't blessed with big breasts but I loved the look and knew someday I would have them done. This isn't a decision I took lightly and researched for YEARS. After I had my second child I decided it was time to get them done! Prior to my consultation with Dr Richards I had 2 others. One was with a very sought out Dr from Utah that is very popular and has a long weight list which I waited almost a year for. That Dr quoted me $20,000 for a breast augmentation with lollipop lift, internal bra, and lipo to cleavage areas. This was very disheartening to me because I personally didn't think I needed a lift (having 2 prior drs also agree) or all those extra things. The amount was astronomical and he also said 400cc was the absolute larger he would do on me. Although that Dr was very popular I just didn't feel right with all of it!
I continued searching for a provider and found Dr Richards on this RealSelf app and am so happy I did!!
I initially did a phone consult with Dr Richards. I was so impressed with his reviews and results that I decided to book surgery! Dr Richards also did not believe I needed a lift as my nipples are still pointing forward so I was extremely happy with that.
My surgery was November 2nd and everything went great! Everything happened so fast which I am thankful for because waiting makes me feel very anxious. Being able to get in and out of their was a huge relief. Even my husband was shocked how fast they called to tell him I was in recovery. I have read a few reviews of people saying they felt rushed or "like a number" rather than a patient but I didn't feel like that at all. I even had time to pick my implant size the day of surgery (went with 485cc HP). I did do a bunch of research so I knew where I was at and this was more of a confirmation of wanting the size. Keep in mind this office does many surgery's daily. You need to do research on your end before surgery so the day of you don't feel rushed making decisions.
I was most anxious about the surgery itself and being put under. The anesthesiologist and nurses made me feel so comfortable. I walked into the operating room, laid on the table, and breathed gas through a mask and that's the last thing I remember. It was that easy! I woke up from anesthesia really well too. I think I was out of recovery after 30 mins of waking up then we head back to our hotel that was nearby.
The first 12 hours after surgery were the worst for me. Not so much pain wise but more just uncomfortable and tight. I would say 3 out of 10 for pain during that time. I've had 2 C-section in the past and this was not even comparable pain wise. I would have this surgery again in a heartbeat As soon as I had the bandage removed on my post op day, I felt immediate relief.
I'm currently 4 days post of and feel amazing! I can't wait to see what my final results will look like! More pics to come!! SO thankful I found Dr Richards! If you are on the fence, I strongly recommend going to him. Cannot say enough good things!
