I have been wanting to get a boob job since I had my first child but decided to wait until I was done with having children. I searched for years for the right doctor to perform my surgery and I finally found him. If it wasn't for a friend of mine who had surgery done by Dr. J I wouldn't have scheduled my surgery. Today marks my 4th day post op. I am loving my results!!!
My pre op appointment I decided to get 545CC cohesive gel implants under the muscle but during my surgery my doctor decided to change the plan. He didn't like how my boobs sitting after he placed the implants under my muscle. He said I had some kind of snoopy effect and it didn't look good and he wasn't going to let me look like that so he decided to place the implants over my muscle. I'm so happy he did because I did some research and saw horrific pictures and read stories about snoopy effect boobs gone bad.
My pain is somewhat tolerable. I went back to work today and had to leave early because it was too much stress on my boobs. I type all day so I said eff it I need one more day. I'll try to go back to work again tomorrow. I have my first post op appointment on Thursday. I was told my stiches will be removed if all is well. Hopefully then I can stop wearing this strap over my boobs. It's so uncomfortable but I know it supposed to help with dropping the boobs. I'll keep you posted on next my appointment.

1 wk post op! I'm so happy my boobs are dropping! Yesterday was my first post op appointment. Doc took my stiches out and said all look great. My doc wants me to wear a shoelace breast cast and it's the most uncomfortable feeling. It sits right under my incision so it rubs and irritates it. Later in the day I was almost in tears because of the shoelace breast cast. I had enough and went and bought some gauze to put on the incisions. I'm happy I did that because I'm not in pain as much. Now I was told I have to wear the shoelace for a month until my next post op appointment. My doc will tell me then if I need to wear it longer. I hope not, fingers crossed! I'll continue to post updates and pics until my next appointment. I must say I'm loving my boobs! :)

Congratulations! Glad you made it over the toughest part of your recovery. Did you share you surgery with any of your coworkers? Just curious if they noticed when you went back to work. Feel free to join the February 2017 breast augmentation surgery forum to see how others like yourself are recovering!

Thank you! I haven't told them but if they ask I will. It seems like my breasts are not very not noticeable which I love. Of course if I were to wear a very tight top they can be.

That makes sense! So what is this shoelace breast cast? You'll have to show us a picture. Sorry to hear it's uncomfortable. Is it the band around the top of your chest? Glad you had some fun trying on swimsuits! ;)

Thank you! The shoelace breast cast basically is two long shoelaces tied together to create a pulley system. It helps from breasts going below the breat fold and cause a double bubble. It's used to help with asymmetry and lifting the boobs. I'll take a pic once my incisions are healed. My doctor told me to stop wearing it for now because it was irritating my incisions. I'm on antibiotics again and need to put Neosporin and cover it with gauze twice a day until i fo bsck for my 2nd appointment. I can tell it's healing now and doesn't hurt as much as it was with the shoelace breast cast. I think I went through some roller coaster regrets/depression a few days before the Dr told me to not wear the shoelace breast cast. I think what made me realize I did good with my decision was when I tried on swimsuits. I like how my breasts have dropped and look now. I'll post pics soon.

Oh that's interesting...thank you for sharing! It's very common to regret surgery between 1-2 weeks post op, so you're not alone. Like you said, once your incisions are healed, you'll be able to enjoy them much more and see the benefits. Glad you're on the antibiotics just in case. Looking forward to your pics!
