90 day post photos, 150 days post

Well, on May 6, which was about 3 months post op, I tried on a couple of bikinis. Here are the pics. Sorry I haven't been updating. Been busy getting back to regular stuff: housework, yard work taking care of the kids.

I actually said about a month ago to my husband, I actually could have gone a bit bigger. It's the normal reaction, I guess, when the swelling has gone down and they are almost completely dropped and fluffed..

A few friends have asked me when they see me in a bikini now, did I get them done. I don't deny it. I think I have pretty much adjusted now to my new shape and I am not too self-conscious about them. I'm wearing thinner and lowe-cut stuff more frequently, but nothing too scandalous. I am a mom and I just turned 40 a few days ago!

Thanks to all of you who helped encourage me and kept me from losing hope post-op. The only thing that bothers me now is I still have some sensitivity in my nipples and some numbness in my lower poles. Still hoping those symptoms resolve. Good luck on your journeys, ladies!

61 days post op

So, yesterday was 60 days post-op. I wore the band (to pull down on the left breast, which was falling behind in terms of dropping into the pocket) about half the nights (but mostly not during the day) between my 4 week post op appointment and 7 weeks post and the left has caught up with the right (Lucy has caught up with Ethel).

I have some more clothes to try on, but my anxiety keeps me from wanting to try on clothes, because I have to look at my face and hair in the mirror (I am very self-critical) but my husband has bought me a lot of cute tops and bras. He seems excited to see me in all this stuff, but I am less excited to try to them on, for the reason I just mentioned. My first hair appointment in about 6 months (to cut and color) is Thursday. Hopefully in a week, I will feel a little better put-together. My newbs (new boobs) don't look very big most of the time in looser clothing or multiple layers, but I still feel like they are too big in bikinis and naked. They are much softer now. Not quite back to normal, still an occasion pain from lifting or pulling the wrong way/too heavy. He's a quick pair of photos of me laying/sitting up in bed, taking a break from chores.

7 weeks post op

Not too much to report. I have been wearing my band over the left breast sporadically. My appointment is in one week. My husband has been buying me clothes and bras lately and I finally tried some on over the weekend. Here is one of the bras (it's really pretty) and one of the bikinis he bought (I asked for thi Cupshe bikini). (the name of the bra and the bikini are in the photo descriptions)
They (I call them Lucy and Ethel) don't hurt too much, but there are still arm movements with resistance (i.e., weight) that sort of catch me off guard when it hurts. Also, I get these very brief shooting pains in my breasts occasionally which I think are nerves growing back. Getting more used to them. Haven't made up my mind entirely about them. Which is good, becuase I didn't like them at all at first! Still holding out hope I grow to love them. My husband says, "you'll be loving them by May (3 months post) and flaunting them by August."
