Day 2: Nipple Panic

ChuckTwnChi
So today was the first time I felt brave enough to look. I had originally planned not to look at them until my post-op appt with Dr. Kalus on Monday because I knew they were going to look weird to me Lol. So much swelling really started this morning too.
But I couldn’t wait and of course had a little panic seeing how much bigger my areoles have gotten. Is this normal? Will they shrink back down? Should I put coconut oil or an organic oil/ lotion on them? I’ve always used an organic sweet almond oil for my skin in the past but I really don’t want to cause any infection. Geez! Some many questions now.
Other than that pain is still minimal. I’ve started taking Tylenol at night spaced out from my other meds. Every once in awhile a shooting pain close to my incisions. I am so thankful to feeling pretty good overall. Still no nausea and my appetite back to normal. Lots of berries and avocado today. Trying to increase protein intake because I read that helps recovery but I’m just not a big meat eater.

I believe the areola size increase is quite common. Not sure if they return to pre-op size, but they should reduce. It is one of those things I never thought about until reading stories on here. You look great. Try not to worry and enjoy the new you.

Hi there,
Congrats on your journey!
I very like the outcome size you have. But can you share me what size of the implant you got? what profile type? what brand? all that goodness detail. Hope you don't mine sharing.
As I was reading, you said between the two size. The post pic looks so natural fits with your frame, and I am about your frame also, so I like to know your implant detail.
I will use your information to discuss with my PS next time soon.
thx hon,

Post-op

Today I honestly have had such little pain. And surprisingly lots of energy. I took about a 2 hour nap but have been able to do a little walking around and wanting to eat without any nausea. I’m amazed at how little pain I’m feeling. Just some pressure really. I also keep forgetting to not lift my arms or reach for things and my husband has now brought me one of those As Seen On TV grabbers things. ???????????
I highly recommend the On-Q pump if you doctor offers it. It was included in my BA cost so I said yes if it meant getting to take less pain pills. I get sick every time I’ve taken Percocet or other opioids.

Hi! I hope you're doing well after your op! I'm so glad I found your review because you and I have almost the exact same stats: I'm also 35 years old, 5'2 (although I'm about 103 pounds), probably a 32A or less, and with no kids. I went for my first two consultations yesterday, and one surgeon suggested 250cc's and the other 255. As you said in your first post, you're hoping that your stats and before/afters might help someone else - I think they'll help me! I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to reading your updates (no pressure though, ha ha!) Solenn

Hi Solenn! I just posted some day 2 post-ops. Not going no to lie...feeling like I wish my PS had chosen the 215cc’s. He went with 190 which I feel is almost unheard of. But it’s a waiting game now, and I feel that I’ll probably love them later. Wishing you the best of luck!

Pain patches work beautifully. I have had surgery many times in my life and post op pain control has always been most successful for me with a patch. Also, the effects of the medication are easily reversed by removing the patch.
