I've finally scheduled my first BA consultation for Jan 18. I've been dreaming of a BA since I was in high school, but have never come to the point where it would be financially prudent or even feasible to spend money on plastic surgery until now.

Right now, I'm wearing a 34A/32B but mostly living in sports bras. For many years, I put away the idea of having a breast augmentation because small breasts became a tad more trendy. But then I breastfed my daughter and was left with the same small breasts... but saggy??? I didn't know it was possible until it happened to me.

I enjoy lifting weights, live a fairly active lifestyle, and work a pretty physically demanding job (I am an inpatient RN working 12-hour shifts; on my feet for most of those hours, lots of reaching and pulling)... and I am also raising a rambunctious 2-year old. At this point I'm feeling excited at the prospect of finally having the breasts I want, but I'm really worried about the recovery process. I won't have the luxury of "taking it easy" for more than 2 weeks (with taking vacation time & deliberate scheduling). I'm hoping to find others who have gone through the same procedure, with similar lifestyles/jobs, who can provide more insight on what recovery was like.

I'm in the same boat. My surgery is scheduled for January. I have a fairly physical job, with periods of heavy lifting on occasion. Nor do I have the luxury of taking it easy for 6 weeks until full recovery. I'm just planning on being very careful and asking for help with anything too strenuous. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm following along with your reviews!

Following along on journey! Good luck on the 18th.
I’m similar stats as you and have my virtual consultation tomorrow and sizing appointment (if all goes well) on the 25th. I will be booking my surgery date tomorrow if approved in consultation!
I have two small kids at home and also don’t have the luxury of truly taking it easy for longer than a couple of days. Wondering how others manage this as well!

Thank you! Did you end up scheduling your surgery already? I'd love to know what size/ profile you decided on!

I had my surgery on January 27th! I just had my review posted!
I ended up going with 300cc filled to 330 saline moderate profile.
I’m feeling sore and can only do a little bit. Yesterday I washed some of my toddlers cups. I’m fortunate my husband is working from home and able to do most things. I can update you how I feel after my one week to give you a better idea? I only took oxy the first night home and day after, then a full day and night of T3s. I’ve been on extra strength Tylenol since day 3 (to give you an idea of pain). It’s just very stiff the pec muscle and the upper pole fullness is what is giving me discomfort.

1 month pre

Initial consulation complete, scheduled in March. I'm thinking 375cc moderate plus or high profile implants

I ended up moving up my consultation in December, but can't say that I know much about sizing yet. I have a pre-op appointment scheduled for March 8, where Dr. Klink says we'll try on different sizers using the Vectra 3D imaging. Based on what I've been browsing on RealSelf, I'm thinking I may go with 375cc moderate plus or high profile implants to achieve my desired results. I tried measuring my own BWD to get an idea for what either profile might suit me better, but I'm no good with a tape measure LOL.

I'm hoping to transition out of bedside nursing soon. If I can swing it, my recovery would be much easier since my job would be a lot less physically demanding. 7.5 weeks until my scheduled surgery! I'll check back in after my preop with more info about what size I decide on.

Hi! I’m going to update my progress. Just an FYI from my doctor is that I cannot lift more than 5lbs for first 6 weeks. I’m 3 weeks now and am feeling really good!

Are you thinking silicone or saline? I went 300cc filled to 330 (saline). Mine haven’t settled but now I’m feeling like I should have gone 330 filled to 360, although when I tried that implant on I felt it was way too big for me.

Glad to hear you are feeling well 3 weeks post! 5lbs? Yikes, that's gonna be pretty tough for a whole 6 weeks.

Early on, I thought I'd like to get saline implants as well. After doing a little more research online and seeing the surgeon for a consult, I have decided on silicone for the more "natural" feel.

I guess it depends on the surgeon but I see some patients on here being really active at 3 weeks.
Do you have a surgery date yet?

Surgery Day

I woke up from surgery around 11 AM today and I’m feeling ok. Only mild soreness, as expected. The Percocet is helping me with my ability to breathe deeper, but makes me super sleepy. I have 2 JP drains to manage, which will hopefully be removed tomorrow at my first post-op appointment. Natrelle Inspira, smooth, round, moderate profile, 445cc on the left and 405cc on the right.
