8 week update

Just a quick update..
I have been virtually pain free for the last few weeks, and literally pain free over the last week. My nipple sensitivity is back to normal which is such a relief. The only issue remaining is slight numbness on my left side under-boob, but i dont really notice unless I or my husband touches it. I have been sleeping on my side for a while now, and started sleeping on my stomach over the last week with no issues. It feels like they have been a part of me forever. They also look like they belong on my body, and my incisions are barely noticeable already.
I was sized at a 12DD, however 12D bras fit better because my right side is about a half size smaller than my left. I dont remember if I mentioned earlier, but I started at a 12B and had asked for a large C/Small D. Had I gone with the surgeons original suggestion of 280cc, I probably would have gotten exactly that. Nevertheless, I am happy I went a little bigger.

I did have a few issues early last month and found it difficult to get answers from the clinic, then my surgeon went on holiday for two weeks and I was left freaking out. It is difficult when so many new feelings and sensations are going on, and you're not sure what is exactly normal and what isnt. I was constantly told that everything I was experiencing was normal, and my body just needed to adjust.
Turns out, though, that I have injured my left pec and anterior delt, and I now find it difficult to do bicep curls without pain. I also get pain if I have been sitting with poor posture for too long. The issue was not caused by the surgeon, though.

Overall, so far I am incredibly happy with my results and cant stop looking at them :)

No major changes but..

I dont know whether anyone will actually ever read this review/blog thing, but I just wanted to put out there that for post-surgical attire, the Tradie Lady everyday crop from The Warehouse is SO comfortable, and the material feels amazing on my super sensitive nipples right now haha. I originally bought a few crops and sports bras from Kmart, but they weren't comfortable and kept digging in to my incisions. This crop beats anything I've tried so far ;)

That is all.

6 Days Post

I had my dressings removed and steri-strips changed yesterday evening. I feel so free without the foamy thing pinning them in place! My surgeon is really happy with how everything is looking. My muscles are still quite tight and inflamed at the top but it isn't too uncomfortable. I had a bit of bruising around the incisions and on the side of my left breast, but no where near what we were expecting considering I tend to bruise quite easily. My right one is dropping quicker than my left. They do look uneven in pictures, but in person the difference is minimal. I did have one that sat lower than the other originally, and I did only ask for what I had but fuller so they still looked as natural as possible.
My stabby pain is from the deep stitches he put in, one on my left side is way deeper than the other. If you imagine you have a fish hook attached to your muscle, and every time you move it pulls, that's what it feels like. The pain from it has been off and on, depending on whether I move at a weird angle while I adjust my pillows. I have noticed it was less intense today though.
My husband and I also worked out the cause of my shoulder pain! Turns out it was from my upper traps being super tight because of how I had been lying and sleeping since the op. He gave me a decent massage and put on Tiger Balm, my pain since has been minimal :)

This afternoon my mother came over (I haven't told her, or anyone else, about going through with this procedure), and had to stand and sit like nothing was going on. It was fine for the first 20 minutes, but my left side started getting very sore and uncomfortable, particularly underneath. It feels a lot better now that I am back lying at an angle.. so back to binge watching Project Runway and Orange is the New Black on Netflix.
