I am over the moon about my experience with Dr. Colgrove at Vinning’s Surgery Center in ATL. I am 29 with a 3 year old whom I breast fed and after having her I was very self conscious about my breast. They were lopsided, certain things I wanted to wear I wasn’t able to. I am small framed my weight is anywhere from 110-115. I didn’t want huge boobs I just wanted to be a C/ small D to fill out my tops. I drove to Atl three weeks before my surgery for preop. Dr Colgrove is very experienced and knowledgeable. He will not do anything that he feels your body can’t handle or won’t look right. All of the nurses were AMAZING! Handed in my lab work via email when I return to Charlotte and anything else that needed to be done. Shae the office manager is very fast at getting you scheduled if you have everything you need. She’s really good about answering phone calls, emails. Surgery was June 22nd at 2pm but we didn’t start until 6:00pm due to the case before me. All the staff apologized about running behind and brought me back as soon as they could. Dr. Colgrove and the anesthesiologist came back to greet me and go over any last minute details before bringing me to the operating room. I just remember talking about Paris with the anesthesiologist then boom I woke up with boobs! I stayed in Atlanta for 4 days before returning to Charlotte. My hotel was very comfortable and 15 mins from surgery center. Recovery has been for the most part Not so bad the first two days weren’t bad at all. I was able to wash myself , use the restroom , I walked. Getting out of bed and sleeping on my back we’re the hardest part of the whole surgery. Monday I had my stitches and drains removed ughhhhhhh! I stoped all meds on day 6. I am a week post op and I still have a little soreness but nothing major. Make sure you have helping hands during the healing process , make sure u eat while taking pain meds, make sure you REST so you can heal and lastly REST!
