I’ve always tossed around the idea of breast implants, but never really thought of it as much of a possibility financially... but now it is!! I have always been small breasted, but was never necessarily unhappy with them.. of course would have loved to be larger. When I was pregnant, I gained 75+ pounds and went from 32b to 36d, but then lost it all quickly after giving birth. Now I’m left with kind of why I call deflated breasts, and o top it off, the right is larger! I tend o wear a 32c, but it needs to be super push-up from Victoria’s Secret in order to fit, and even so I usually end up with lots of gaping. When I wear a ports bra, I look completely flat chested.
So where I am at now... I’ve had my consultation with the plastic surgeon and I’ve scheduled my surgery for February 6th. I did a lot of research on Plastic Surgeons in my area and finally decided on scheduling a consult. I was so nervous and incredibly uncomfortable in the office, but he quickly made me feel less uncomfortable and I began to get very excited!! At the time, the PS and I decided on the Sientra smooth round silicone, moderate plus profile 355cc. Based on the width, I’d have to go up to the High Projection if I wanted more CC. I prefer to have a very real look to my implants, and I do not want to be huge. I have recently started to get nervous about the size that the 355cc will make me. I know I shouldn’t worry about bra size because it varies so much for everyone, but I still want to be able to fit into cute Victoria Secret bras.. just not padded ones! I wold be happy with a 32d or 34C.. but really don’t want to end up bigger than that. I know most people say that they wish they’d gone bigger, so always lean toward the high size if you’re in between sizes, but right now, I feel like I’d rather be on the smaller side, than the larger. I’m thinking of dropping down to the 325cc moderate plus profile. Mostly, I want them to be fuller, and rounder! But I do not want them to look like balls attached to my chest! I’m 5’6” and 125lbs. I don’t exercise much (other than chasing my toddler and the occasional run). Anyway, I decided since I am having second thoughts, I will go back to the PS for another look at the sizing to be sure! I go back January 8th! I’ve added a few photos of me with a simple, unpadded size small ports bra on with no sizers, then he same sports bra with roughly 355cc rice sizers in. I guess I’ll know more after January 8th.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I had my BA done 2 years ago and love my results. I was a 34 A now I am a 32DD. My Surgeon never promised me a certain bra size. No surgeon can because manufacturers are different in sizing. We only discussed cc's. And my anatomy. He measured me and we tried on different sizes and we decided that way. Just keep in mind surgeon's can't guarantee bra size.

Thank you! Your implants look great! My surgeon didn’t promise any bra size, but is aware of my goals and I think on Target to meet them! Bra sizes differ so much from person to person, and even store to store. One of my main reasons for wanting breast augmentation is so that I have an easier time finding bras that fit! Right now it’s so tough because by the looks of my boobs, I should be a 32A, but 32 A bras don’t even come close to fitting, even most 32b’s are tight! But with C’s I have so much gapping if I move or lay own! I’m hoping with fuller breasts, I’ll fill my accurate size out much better, and not need the push-up padding (except when I want that look!) I think I’m on target for what will fit my frame, but happy to go back for one more sizing before a final decision is made! This site has been so helpful though!

I had my cosmetic re-discuss the other day and happy I did so! I was starting to get a little unsure of the size I chose at my initial consult.. probably because I’ve been doing so much research on RealSelf! I got to try on sizes again and pretty much discovered that the size I originally decided on was in fact still about what I wanted. The only issue hat came up was that my BWD is 11.5, which matched the 355cc implants I chose. Since I don’t want my implants touching, creating unnatural cleavage, the PS and I decided to go own 20cc so my implants will have a little more room. Only 3.5 weeks until surgery!!!

Dr. Guenther is amazing! I’m so impressed with his work. My scars are so minimal compared to others I’ve seen on this site. I was fairly uneven in size before, and he managed to make them look the same all while using the same size implant! If you have any questions or concerns at all, I’m happy to go into more detail and such! I go back to see Dr Guenther on March 19th for my 6 week post op! Best of luck to you!!

Surgery Done!

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. Everything went perfect! I want to go through abut of my recovery for anyone that wants to read this. I’ll go through the first week now and then add an update for week two. I found a lot of helpful information from others reviews and updates so hopefully this can help others!
Day of surgery: I went to the Boston Center at 6:30am and was immediately greeted, got in my gown and socks, had vitals taken, etc. Then I had a chance to speak with the anestheologist and ask questions about that piece. After that, the Plastic surgeon came in and marked me up. I was taken into the surgical room and got hooked up to the IV and then I was out. I don’t really remember much about waking up, but remember bits and pieces after hearing about it from my mom and cousin (the people that brought me to my surgery and home). We had about an hour dive home, and I was resting on the couch by 11am! I didn’t feel much of anything other than tightness/heaviness in my chest. I did take one Oxycodone, because everyone insisted I stay ahead of the pain. I regret taking it though. I got so sick and vomited a couple times. Needless to say, I threw the remaining pain meds away and stuck with only the extra strength Tylenol!
Day two and three were pretty much the same. The pain wasn’t too bad.. mostly just uncomfortable and I didn’t do too much moving around. I struggled with the antibiotic making me feel queasy, but the Zofran helped with that. I also kept getting the absolute worst heartburn ever.. and I still don’t really know what that was from.. it subsided around day 5 and I just kept popping tums!
Day four was a huge difference from the previous day. I woke up feeling really good considering I had just had surgery!
I had taken my first shower the day after surgery. It felt so weird taking my surgical bra off. They were so swollen, super tight and pointy with very little under boob! I took my bandages off on day 5 ( though I was told I cold have on day 3). It made me super queasy, but then felt good having them off. The skin was stretching so the bandages were getting really tight- it was a relief when they were off!
I had my first follow up on day 6. The plastic surgeon said everything looked great, no sign of infection and the incisions were healing well!
