I had 3 different consultation with surgeons and they were all very nice, helpful, and informative. I decided to do with the 3rd doctor I met with (Dr. Geldner) because he was the most informative, had the best work, and I had the best experience with him and his staff. They were very specific about what to expect post-op, as well as what steps we would take if a complication were to arise. I got to go into the 3D scanner to see what the implants would actually look like inside me, which I hadn't been able to do at the other two consultations. ALSO!!! He was able to come up with a post-op pain management plan (which includes a local pain pump) and isn't prescribing narcotic pain meds which is a huge plus!! I feel like they delay the "feeling better/myself" part of the recovery process and make it damn near impossible to function and cause extreme constipation lol. Sooo if I'm able to have a comfortable recovery without them I'm definitely in! I'm a moderately thin girl, 34/A maybe small B depending on the bra. I chose to go with round silicone implants and he's gonna do 380cc and 415cc to correct asymmetry. The other doctor I went to (NOT the one I booked w/) said he prefers to do armpit incision for better scarring and I thought this was a better ideaaa...buut Dr. Geldner said he prefers the incision under my breast crease for the best precision bc of my asymmetry so I'm goin with that! I just hope the scar isn't too noticeable. Especially since my breasts don't really have enough tissue to cover the crease currently, but that will all change soon!! I booked my procedure for May 22 and had my pre-op yesterday and paid. I'm so excited it's only a week and a day away!

Very cool about the non narcotic recovery, I would like to do that too if/when I get this surgery done. Excited for you! I'll be following your journey:)

Thank you! And yes I agree, Dr. Geldner has a way of managing post-op pain with other non-narcotic options (both prescription and localized 72h pain pump) so that there's still post-op pain relief, just without the extra risks/downfalls of using narcotics. So far my experience with him has been great. I will continue to post xx

I know I've seen BA go wrong with the armpit incision. You don't have a lot of tissue and are using a decent size implant. I've seen quite a few have to go back for revisions and pay again to have that corrected. I would just have the IMF incision bc once they d&f, the incision goes upward and is not noticeable. In time that incision fades and isn't obvious over time. Just my opinion. But I been reading/commenting on reviews for 3 yrs and seen it all. If you choose the armpit incision, I would know your PS revision policy just in case. Good luck and congrats on your decision to have BA!

Thank you!! I don't know how much you can tell in my picture on this post but the other post I made has a few more of my before pictures from a straight-on angle, And you can kind of see how one breast is higher up than the other and when I'm standing completely straight it's a lot more noticeable. I guess my biggest fear is that if I had done the armpit incision, my asymmetry would end up looking more pronounced with my new larger breasts instead of less pronounced

Hey I went under the breast crease route it turned out great. Use the silicone scar sheets and if you do not keloid easy the sacrifice fades away seemlessly. I hope this helps

Thank you! I'm gonna try to take extra precautions. I don't scar badly but if I scrape my knee or get a cut it fades into a scar

Hi! Congrats on the surgery, you’re only a few days out! So I also was looking into the armpit incision, but my surgeon nixed that idea. He said it’s far from the breast, so it’s harder to get perfect placement. I’m also built like you (5’7, 123ish) and he said I’d have no issues with scars showing and I’m only going with a 325ish silicone implant! I’m sure you’re gonna look fab, and your scars will fade in no time. Can’t wait to see more updates from you, good luck!

Aw tysm! I was told the same thing about the armpit incision by my current PS too. Especially bc of my asymmetry– placement precision is everything! I'll be updating soon 3 more days! :)

I like the shape of my breasts they’re just too small & not full w/ very little upper-pole breast tissue and no cleavage in bras, tops, bikinis. I hope 380cc/415cc is a good size choice. Surgery in 6 days ahh so excited!!!

How was your pain?! Were you able to do anything after surgery or did you need assistance w/ everything?
May 22, 2020
Well I thought I had a good pain tolerance and if I could handle an emergency c section then I could handle this, buttt it’s kind of kicking my butt lol. Just like with anything you don’t realize how much you use certain muscles until you need them. I’m told things get much better around day 3-4. Really the worst part isn’t the Chest tightness, I’m struggling more with certain arm movements.
