So after having 2 pregnancies & breastfeeding my babies I went from DD to small B. In December 2020 I had breast uplift ( mastopexy) and then year later decided to go slightly larger, not really increasing size but filling up lost volume. I am 35 years old, 2 kids , 163cm (5,4") and 58kg which is 127 pounds or over 9 stone respectively, depending which part of the world you are at. 250cc is what my doctor chose for me, I didn't have size in mind, I had no idea what CC even means, I went to my consultation and told him I want to fill up lost volume but not to be loo large and still look natural. I am quite athletic and I run and go to gym 4 times a week, I also love hiking and outdoor rock climbing etc so large boobs wasn't what I was going for. At my initial surgery when I was getting an uplift my doctor did ask me if I wanted to go with small implants along side lift but I declined it and was happy to have small, natural breast. Now I'm definitely happy that I waited for over 1 year and my mastopexy scars have faded.

Previous breast lift & scar healing
I never did a full review of my breast lift procedure in December 2020. I think it’s a fantastic option for women with naturally large breasts or enough breast tissue that won’t require implant. For me it definitely fixed the issue of tightening my skin but I also felt like I my breasts where a lot smaller afterwards. For me breast lift + implant feels like a 2 in 1 surgery that don’t sync with one another . While lift will tighten the skin, implant will stretch it so I was always under the impression that 2 should be performed at different times. Having a year or 6 months of recovery time also allows you to fully make up your mind if you want to go ahead with enlargement or happy with your natural size :) Breast lift scars do take some time to heal. I used silicone sheets, different essentials oils but the best solution for scars Is definitely TIME. I would say it takes at least 1 year + for them to fully fade. If I had to rate pain from 1 to 10 for breast lift, it’s about 2/10 and recovery time is pretty straight forward, I also never lost nipple sensation, as I have noticed that many women do with breast lift or augmentation I should suggest this is down to individual plastic surgeon and their technique during operation . When I stressed this issue with my surgeon he said none of this patients have lost nipple session. So choose your doctors carefully.

Thank you ! They do take a long time to disappear but they do. I feel they are still getting lighter now! I did use silicone gel sheets for some time in the early stages, then switched to mixture of essential oils that targets older scars and surgical scars.

1 week post op
I am just over 1 week post op and will give an information of how it went from the day 1. My surgery was performed in the morning, I went in Tuesday and got discharged on Thursday, so 3 days and 2 nights. I had drains inserted and they got removed on the day 3 when volume significantly decreased. Pain : I would rate at 9/10 and first 5 days where definitely intense. I was on intravenous pain medication for the first few days and pressure on the chest I could only describe as elephant sitting on you ! Even breathing is painful so I could only take small breaths and it’s very uncomfortable. Day 6 is when I finally started to feel better, went of the pain medication and felt less tired and fatigue. Pain gradually changed to more localised area and I mostly feel it at the incision place. Sleeping is still very uncomfortable, if you are a side sleeper or tummy sleeper this will be a challenge for you. I sleep in incline position with lots of pillows behind my back and have barricaded the middle part of the bed so I don’t roll over in my sleep. I have heard girls using neck pillow, I assume similar to those you can use for travels, I haven’t tried it out yet. Swelling is still pretty persistent and I had lot of upper Pole swelling in the day 3 and 4. I used ice packs in the evening to help minimise it and it’s very helpful. I drove for the first time 7 days post op and it was stiff and painful and something I only do for maximum of 1 hour a day and couldn’t imagine being on long trips just yet.

Thank you. Need to get used to this new body. Hopefully I will love my results. I’m going out for dinner this weekend and it’s my first time out after augmentation but I feel like hiding them

I remember wanting to hide. You will get used to them! I went to Mexico in March and truly embraced them in a bikini! Enjoy them!

Thank you it’s a slow process isn’t ?!, I’m still not feeling too good, being out if gym is also making me sad. My doc is not giving me green light until week 4 so I still have 2 more of weeks of being a couch potato!

They look so good!!! I went out last night (11 days post-op) and took off my aces bandage that is used to push the implants down, and switched into a deeper cut supportive bra, (no underwire still) and wore a deep cut shirt and at first felt so nervous about it, but at the end of the night I felt so happy and confident! It was definitely a process to get used to big boobs all of the sudden!

Awesome ! I’m deffo not there yet, I wore a high neck/turtleneck black dress with sleeves haha I didn’t wear the support strap for those few hours out, but still had the compression bra on which is hard to combine with anything cute lol Glad you enjoying your results, and u should, you look amazing !
