I wasn’t going to post on here but I spent a lot of time on here before my surgery date looking for advice so I figured I’d share my story. I was born with a mild case of pectus carinatum so I have always had a bone protruding on the right side of my chest/breast bone. It always slightly bothered me but the last few years it seemed to be getting worse so I set out to find a Dr. that could help. I went to two consultations before seeing Dr. Pinsky! His staff was amazing from the second I walked in. I was very nervous about the whole thing but it went way smoother than expected. I’m currently on day 2 of post op and so far I’m pretty happy with the results. I am just very nervous for the next weeks to come and hope they drop and settle nicely without any complications! I am also in a decent amount of pain still especially at night. I will try to remember to upload more pictures as each week passes. If you have any questions, let me know!

Post-Op Day 5

Here’s some more pictures! Not too much of a change. My right side (left in pic) is much more swollen and higher up on the chest most likely due to having less breast tissue and a bigger cc placed causing more trauma to the muscle. Hoping they drop and settle nicely together in the next coming months!
I am only taking Tylenol during the day now and the pain medication at night if needed. The pain isn’t terrible just bothersome at times. It’s more uncomfortable to sleep than anything!
I will post an update at the one week mark :)
