My statistics —
Age: 24
Preop Bra: 32 barely B
Kids: no
Body type: athletic
Height: 5’3
Chest width: 13 cm
Weight: 117
Surgery date: May 7, 2019
Implants: 500 cc round, smooth, high profile (mentor brand) placed under the muscle with the incision under the breast fold.
Originally wanted 550cc but my surgeon said my chest wall wasn’t wide enough, we could go with ultra high profile but I wanted more of a natural look so we compromised at 500cc (and I’m glad we did).
I am from Canada and I flew to Miami, FL for my surgery. I flew back home on day 3 post op, if I could go back in time I would of chosen to stay there for at least a week post op. I returned to work on day 5 post op, again if I could go back I wouldn’t work for at least a week and a half. I have a desk job but it was still difficult walking around, my muscles were spazzing and contracting so much it was hard to breathe. I definitely rose my blood pressure on day 3 post op walking through the airport, I still have PTSD from that day of travel. I had barely any bruising, just a little under my boobs that were yellow from the beginning and a small spot near my left nipple that’s still visible today.
Today marks day 18 post op, almost 3 weeks. I am still sleeping upright (about 40 degrees) for the most part, this is my choice as I was cleared to sleep on my back 7 days post op. I was instructed to wear my band 24/7 for a week then only at night for a month but that being said I wear it around the house on weekends/evenings. I was told to wear sports bras for a month and can go braless every now and again if I want. The nurse told me to keep the tape on my incisions for two weeks (she checked and cut the string at 3 days post op since I was flying home that day) but the tape would normally only stay on a week.
My right side has been a dream since day one, it’s much stronger than my left and I’ve felt barely any pain. My left side on the other hand is a nightmare, the muscle is always tight, I have pain near the bottom inner side of my boob or a stinging sensation near my nipple when I use my arm or walk around so I’m doing my best to be gentle with it. Near the end of my workday I am exhausted and in pain on my left side (can’t wait to get home). I’m hoping by 1 month post this pain will subside. My nipple on my left side is so sensitive and painful, I think it may be bruised? I was using arnica gel but it would sting so I changed over to Aloe Vera and it’s helping the pain. My doctor doesn’t believe in massaging but from what I heard it’s important so I’m doing it on my own from videos I’ve seen. As of this moment it’s difficult to massage my left because of the pain but I’m doing my best.
The photos attached are my pre-op size and shape, my surgical bra and band on day 4 post op, me trying on old bathing suits that are clearly too small now on day 11 post op and photos taken today of my breasts and incisions at 18 days post op, as you can see my troubling left side (which in the pictures is the opposite side) is higher, not as round and a little more swollen.
This procedure was a lot more painful than I anticipated, I’ve had a rhinoplasty before and it was a breeze compare to this. I would say that I wasn’t in pain with my nose, I was more uncomfortable from not being able to breathe more than anything but for this, I most definitely experienced some tough days of pain but would still say it’s worth it. I am looking forward to seeing them drop!
More updates coming soon.

Today has been my least painful day yet, FINALLY! Left one is is still tight muscle wise but I’m rolling my shoulders and lifting my arm up slowly over my head multiple times to stretch it out but there is at least no more constant pain, it’s more of a dull fading in and out pain (I’ll take that). Left side is still higher and swollen. Right is still a dream!! It’s pretty strong, dropping quicker and overall super happy with how it’s looking. My incisions are looking GREAT.
Looking forward to my drop and fluff:)

It’s not for you to judge... you shouldn’t be on this site if you have these types of opinions.

I’m noticing my right one (your left) is fluffing and looking rounder, my left (your right) is higher and still torpedo’ish. In person they are at different levels, you can kind of see in the photo. I’ve also highlighted where I’m experiencing pain/muscle tightness on my higher breast, I’m trying to massage it but it hurts so :/ I guess time is my friend on this one, it’s still early. Just wish the pain was all gone.
I’ve also started using silicone gel sheets as of yesterday.
Check back soon...

How are you getting on now with the pain? Hope all is well!!
I’m a little over 3 weeks post op and struggling with the heaviness I also got 500cc, can you lay on your side?x

Pain has drastically reduced and tightness too. They are a lot squishier. I don’t find mine heavy, I had BAD back pain in the first 4 weeks but it’s gone now. I’d say pain wise I’m feeling 85% myself because near the end of my work day my left hurts a bit near the incision but like I said way better then a week and a half ago. Best of luck!!

Oh good! im glad you’re doing well! my main thing has been suffering with post op blues but today has been a positive one so hopefully onwards and upwards from here on.

Yea I still get moments of depression! But it’ll get better :) also yes I sleep on my sides, I mostly hold my boobs when I go to sit up because it a weird uncomfortable feeling if I don’t.

That gives me more positivity, I can’t wait to be able to sleep on my side properly. I know that feeling is weird/uncomfortable
