I’ve been on this site for a few months now and the reviews with all of the pictures really helped me so I figured I’d post about my upcoming surgery and it’ll hopefully help someone else. I apologize in advance for the long posts.
To start out I’m 5’6
146lbs
21 years old
Currently wearing a 32a bra
No children
Not only do I have small boobs but they are also VERY asymmetrical. After going to my second consultation I was told my left boob is a 32a and my right boob is at least a 32b so that was shocking to find out I’ve got a cup size difference. I’ve wanted a boob job since I was 13-14 yrs old I’m now 21 so for the past 8 years or so I’ve been researching this surgery.
I want to feel more feminine and It would also be amazing to fill out clothes, feel confident in bikinis ect. (I CANNOT WAIT TO BUY NEW BIKINIS LOL!!!)
I'm gonna break this into multiple posts so it's not super long!! So this is basically just a little bit about me, my stats and why I'm doing this.
Here are a few before pictures(I've gained a bit of weight since these were taken but this basically shows how little I've got to work with)

Consultations and scheduling surgery

ittybitty234
This is a veryyy long post I’m sorry lol I’ll try to keep them shorter from now on.
So the first consultation I went to was great, the staff was super nice as well as the surgeon. I felt comfortable with all of them and the price was fair, right under 6k, we had decided if I went with them I’d be getting 400cc in my left with high profile and 350cc in my right moderate profile. This was a little odd to me to be getting two different profiles but I guess they know more than I do lol. But I wanted to see at least one more surgeon before deciding who I wanted to go with and I’m so glad I did.
My second consultation was in Atlanta so over a 4hr drive for me and it was with Nelson Castillo. I actually found out about him on RealSelf and after seeing his before and afters and reading all the great reviews I wanted to check him out. The consultation was great, his receptionist is so sweet and he was also very kind and welcoming from the minute I met him. I came very prepared to this consultation compared to the first and it made a world of a difference because I felt like I was really able to convey what I wanted and he understood.
Prior to your consultation I would recommend
- coming up with 5-10 questions you want to ask them
- Research the incision types and find out which one you’d prefer (each surgeon will probably have their own preference as well)
- Decide if you want silicone or saline
- And decide if you want to go above the muscle or under the muscle
- The last thing I made sure to do was find wish pics!! This was the most helpful because you can tell them oh I want a c cup and they might not be on the same page as you because a c cup varies but showing a picture they get a really good idea about the size you want, if your body would look proportional with that size and what profile you’re gonna need.
So personally I wanted the inframammary incision which is underneath the breast. I wanted silicone and I wanted it under the muscle for the most natural look. He said all of the above are his personal preferences and what he tends to do the most which was great we were on the same page.I had a bunch of questions written down but by the time he was done explaining everything to me he had already answered 90% of my questions. After all this he took my measurements and my pictures and grabbed some implant sizers for me to try on. Since I have a cup size difference he decided it’s gonna be at least 80cc difference.
He had me try on each of the different size combinations he had laid out be he didn’t tell me what size they were, which I actually really liked because at the first consultation I just wanted to go bigger so when they said 400cc I decided I liked that one the most. But at this consultation he used implants with such minuscule differences I couldn’t even tell they were different sizes and I liked that. We ultimately decided on 375cc in my left(smaller) boob and 295 in my right(larger boob) and I’ll be getting moderate profile.
The one thing he did tell me is that since my left boob is so small, there’s literally nothing to it lol. It may not have as natural of an appearance after surgery as my right boob will. He told me to fix that I could do fat grafting and then a breast augmentation (on the same day) so basically he would do liposuction and take the fat from my stomach and put it into my left boob until it’s even with my right and then put a smaller implant in. He said that was the rolls Royce of boob jobs lol and it definitely wasn’t necessary but if I wanted “perfect” results that’s what I’d do. The price was definitely up there lol almost 12k so I ultimately decided against it for now.
The one thing that made him much different from the other surgeon was he said he’s going to order multiple sizes and while in the operating room he’s going to try out different sizes to not only try to get my boobs the same size or as close as possible but to also make sure he gives me the results I want. This was amazing to hear because while I was doing research I heard a few other surgeons approached it this way and I really liked that. But that’s another reason it was so important for me to convey exactly what I wanted to him since he’s ultimately gonna make the final decision. Like I said though, the size difference is very minuscule so it won’t be anything to dramatic.
After the consultation he gave me his business card with all his personal contact info on it and told me to reach out if I had any questions. I was confident immediately after the consultation that he was who I wanted to book with but I took a few weeks to decide if maybe I did want the fat grafting as well. Like I said before I decided against it. I called his office a week ago and scheduled the surgery for September 2nd I currently have a countdown going and as of today I have 64 days left ????
I’m going to post the wish pics that I showed my surgeon (I’ve seen quite a few people use her photos on here: her name is Rachel cook in case you were curious)

You are in absolutely great hands! He did my augmentation with a lift earlier this year and he was phenomenal, and he worked/ works hard to give his patients what they want! I'm excited for you!

That's awesome to hear, thank you!!

I'm glad you did so much research and really took those details between surgeons into consideration. I did the same while I was exploring different surgeons. My surgeon in Dallas took multiple implants to the OR and tried them on to make sure the sizing was right. I let him chose profile because he is the professional and knew exactly what was going to work for my body shape and what was going to work to achieve my goals. Good luck with your surgery and keep us posted!

Thank you, I definitely will!!

He sounds great. I had two surgeons cancel on me because I continued to ask questions. I had my surgery booked paid for and they refunded all my money. I believe questions should be encouraged and you continue the communication process until everyone is on the same page and your client is comfortable. In the end I found a surgeon who like yours called me right before going into surgery to say not to worry, we're on the same page, he understands, just completely reassuring. It sounds like you're in great hands. I love the idea of taking different sizes to the OR instead of committing prematurely to a particular size. Excited to see your results!!! Love your wish pics

Oh my goodness that's awful:(( questions should definitely be encouraged, you're paying a lot of money for this surgery and you deserve to have them answered without feeling like a burden. I'm glad you found a better surgeon. Yes me too I think more surgeons should order multiple sizes! Thank you!!:))

Quick updates on size

ittybitty234
I wanted to post this before I forgot lol, but I emailed My surgeon on Friday asking a few questions regarding the surgery. First I want to say he responds so quickly which is so helpful!! I emailed him and within 10min he called me and had all my questions answered. My question was basically confirming the size we decided on just because I was curious. And he told me we actually decided on 310cc in my left and 375 in my right. In my previous post I had thought it would be 295 in my right. Just wanted to keep this really updated (sorry for all the rambling lol this could’ve been a really short post)
