2WPO, Suture Removal, Going Topless!
My PS made me cry…tears of joy!
Today, I am two weeks PO. I went to my PS office to have my sutures removed. (Which, by the way was totally painless.)
When the sutures were removed and I looked at my scar, I almost cried. They look so good! Seriously, they look like little scratches.
I was super worried because I actually keloid on my breasts. (You may be able to see two keloids on my right boob in the pics.) My PS was aware of this and we decided that we would do a round of steroid treatment to reduce the keloids that the surgery left, if I needed it. Thank goodness, I didn’t need it!
Next week, I start the embrace scar therapy. I have to wait a week or so after the sutures are removed to begin. I can’t wait!
In the meantime, I’ve been instructed to let the breasts “hang and breath” while I’m home and to wear a sports bra when I go out. I asked my PS about doing breast exercises and he said that I could massage scar scream into the scab, but that he didn’t see any real improvements with breast massages in general. He thought that letting them Hang 10 would be more effective. So, I guess I’ll be going topless for a while! I can resume light cardio work (no abs, arms back or chest exercises), and I still can’t take a bath or get in the pool/hot tub. I have to wait a few more weeks for that. But I’m super happy to have a real reason to be topless. And I actually WANT to be topless! I actually have some breasts to show-off! :)

One Week Post Op Image
Somehow, I wasn't able to upload the image to the last post. But, here it is!
I'm just loving the way that I'm dropping and fluffing! SI must say, that they are a little heavy when the compression bra isn't on. And my nipples are a little soar to the touch. My skin also seems a little tight. But all of these issues are to be expected. So I'm super happy right now.
