It's finished! 3 week recovery.
I had my BBL on April 9th 2019.
The day before, I had flown in and went to my pre-op appointment. I did not meet Dr Z like I thought I would, I met Barbie, the office manager/ surgery coordinator. I filled out a ton of paperwork and got my recovery kit which was included in the 5700 I paid (I ended up paying for another stage 1 faja and an extra foam because I felt like I needed them, but the recovery kit has most things youll need like backboard, ab board, foams, faja, bbl pillow). I went in for surgery the next day at about 9 am and the anesthesiologist was great and very nice and kept me calm despite my fear of needles, he gave me something to calm me down and that's when I finally met Dr Z. I felt a little rushed and nervous so I couldnt get my thoughts 100% together but I showed him my wish pics and he was honest about what he could and could not do for me (I'm a REALLY TALL GIRL, so my body is a little different than most)
Then I was put to sleep and woke up cold (not as ad as other girls mentioned) and having to PEE LIKE A RACEHORSE like 10 times lol. I did wake up on my back and was already wearing my faja. I had one drain in. I slept the rest of the day.
I was clearly really bruised and swollen and tired, but the next few days made sure to walk every 3 hours. I DID take my percocets, I wouldnt have been able to sleep otherwise.
Oh I should mention, I'm vegan so all the foods I ate during recovery were vegan and I recovered just fine :)
I'll talk about recovery in my next post, my hands hurt and I am laying face down on a bean bag chair since I can't sit or lay on my back, so I get uncomfortable and tired pretty easily. Here are my post op results so far. The picture in the doctors office is day 1 post op. The one leaning over the bath and with the drain in are about 4 days or so post op, the rest are 2-3 weeks post op.
I AM happy with my results, but im wondering if I should get a round 2 to get more hips and smaller waist if possible.. idk if it even is possible bc I have no fat on my stomach left and my ribs are pretty wide set.

Surgery Scheduled for 4/9/19!
His office messaged me and told me to begin Floradix, Hemaplex, Folic Acid, and C1000 3x daily 1 month before, but I went ahead and started 2x daily just in case and will start 3x daily on the 9th. What makes me nervous is that Hemaplex contains Vit E which seems to be a before surgery no-no, but I also see that most are told to use hemaplex. I wonder if the others cancel out the Vit-E. Idk, I'm overthinking. I feel like I have so many questions that can never be answered because I AM an out of town patient.. his IG live Q&As are helpful..
Three massages are included, but I contacted a popular IG massage therapist and sent her my down payment for 4 massages. Her IG page is so so so informative.
I got all my supplies and am packed already LOL!
Dr Z sells cbd in the office, so I'm gonna pick some up at my pre-op the day before and buy an extra garment. Sorry for rambling. I'm so nervous and not sure how to compile my thoughts properly. I hope that my wish pics are reasonable for my starting body type..
Oh! I AM getting my hip dermals removed because apparently they pose a burn risk, so I'm having my piercer take them out with a scalpel at the beginning of next week.
Anywho.. if you have questions or suggestions, leave them below, I'm going to try really hard to be as detailed AS POSSIBLE on this journey since Dr Z doesnt have as much hype as the... cheaper.. doctors, but his results and reviews are better and he's board certified with no deaths so I'm hoping this helps someone looking for a doctor.
Added a self photoshopped "wish" pic
They might be too dramatic, I'm not really sure what I can expect, but its an idea of the shape I want, and something to hope for.
I think I'll get my arms and inner thighs lipod a little at a round 2 since they can only remove so much each time. Think these are too dramatic to hope for?
Provider Review
I'm really happy with my results. The office staff was really nice and quick to answer my questions (after the whole ordeal with scheduling a consultation and date etc), the wait time in person was nonexistent, I always went straight back when I arrived for each appointment. The BEST part about the experience was the massage therapist, Katy. I would recommend her 10000000x over, I adored her and she made the whole recovery process much easier. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and skilled. Barbie, the office manager was the person I spoke with most via email and in person. She was very helpful and took her time explaining things to me and I was able to text her with any questions before and after surgery. Dr Z did a great job on my body and I'm pretty happy with my results though I may want a round 2, he was realistic with me in expectation and didnt paint me a false hope for my result. My only issues were that I saw him ONCE before surgery.. literally the morning of. That's when I first met him and showed him my wish photos and talked to him, I felt slightly anxious and rushed and panicked because of this. I really had hoped to meet him the day before, when I was calm and had my thoughts together. He was not there after surgery, though several nurses or assistants were, so that's fine. I saw him TWO times after surgery for about 2 minutes (not exaggerating) each time during my massages with Katy for him to examine my surgical site, he didn't really say much. I had a cold and instead of prescribing antibiotics, he had me go to my gp after flying home which was a little strange to me, but still fine. He DID text me a few days after surgery and ask how I was doing and if I had questions, but I really kept my questions to Barbie because she seemed more.. idk.. invested in my recovery? Would I go back to Dr Z? Yup. 100000x over. But if you're looking for a doctor to hold your hand the entire process and recovery, he might not be for you, as I've noticed some patients prefer that. He seems more professional and knowledgeable than most bbl surgeons in the miami area, and he isnt doing 10432942 surgeries a day, so choosing him was worth it for that peace of mind.
