WORTH IT
You must do your research first to find a PS that you feel comfortable with. Carlos Rivera Serrano did an awesome job and I couldn’t be more pleased. Great office staff, nurses & anesthesiologist. From start to finish, I was in good hands. Everyone in the office make you feel comfortable and at ease. I must admit, It’s a process that you have to be mentally prepared for. You will have a pre op appointment that covers a medical evaluation as well as a visual of your body in the areas you wish to have your procedure done. Labs & an EKG will be done before surgery. The day of surgery, routine work will be completed (urine test, pre meds given, b/p and temp taken, and if you are a diabetic a finger stick will be completed (as my self). The anesthesiologist will come in, give you a thorough review on what to expect and insert a needle in prep for the surgery room. Once in the surgery room, your surgeon will clean your body with a solution from top to body to all of your crevices. Afterwards, I was helped on to the table - not touching anything unsterilized. The anesthesiologist does his thing and hours later you awake. Thereafter, you are helped into your garment. The nurses make sure you are stable to leave and assist you into the vehicle awaiting you. Once home, although rest is required, YOU MUST WALK AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. My pain was minimum. Throughout the entire process, I was mainly stiff and sore. Yes, it hurts pulling yourself up from the bed but that only last for the first week. My doctor called several times personally during the first critical days to make sure I was doing good. The best items I used were Arnica gel, arnica tablets and Bromelain (better than pineapple juice) for inflammation. Please purchase a female urinal. You will need chucks on your bed the first 48 hours to catch any leaking fluids. At each appointment my doctor takes pictures to show progress. It’s great having a doctor that’s hands on and compassionate. Everyone’s healing is different. Listen to your body. I was walking within a few hours of returning home from surgery. Driving a few days later with my bbl pillow and back to work in no time. I took my antibiotics as prescribed. I only using the pain meds the first 3 days as precaution. Feel free to ask questions or inbox if you want them answered privately. I am 7 weeks and 2 days post op.

When did you first sit down? You look great. Your bottom looks better each week. It’s good seeing that. We are told that, but you know seeing is believing.

I’m one of those people that follow instructions BUT still push my body. I can’t just sit still. I was cutting grass a week later! Driving a day later. I use my bbl pillow while at home and drive with a pillow underneath my legs. I’m 7 weeks and 4 days post op today. I went for a follow up yesterday and my bottom looks rounder and bigger from 4 weeks ago. My swelling is minimal. I’m still lying on my stomach (however I’m a stomach sleeper anyways so it doesn’t bother me). I am loving my results. I’m trying to wait a few more weeks before I go shopping for clothes. I will post more pictures as time goes by. I didn’t have pain at all. I had stiffness and soreness which some can equate to pain. Yes, it’s uncomfortable but each day you get better.

Updated pictures for week 10 and 11. No pain, minimal swelling and completely back to my normal routine. I’m still wearing my faja everyday for 12 to 16 hours (and all day on the weekends). I have lower back burning in the arch of the back but that comes with healing. I have a nice slope, hips and lats and a nice cuff (considering I had a flat bottom with no shape and no hips).

3 months and 1week.

These are my most recent pictures. Both pictures I am 3 months and 1 week PO. I was typically a size 7 before my surgery in March. I am now a size 9 ( I fill the pants out but my waist area requires a belt to fit nicely).
