I will start by saying that Dr. Chang’s work is great. He is very strict with his protocols for patient safety, which is why I chose him, and he is straight forward about what he can and can’t achieve, as well as his opinion if you ask him for it. He advised that I could get the results I wanted with just lipo and adding fat to my hips only, so that is what I did, and I love the way my body looks.
However!!!!!!!!!
Spectrum is a nightmare. The building is not very nice, it actually had graffiti on it and the only signage was PLASTIC SURGERY: 866.BODY. It felt very much like a surgery mill. Waking up post op was probably the worst experience of my life. They try to roll you out of bed and out of the building the SECOND your eyes open. You wake up from anesthesia unmediated, and can’t even get your bearings before they are aggressively jerking your very sore body around to make room for the next girl. I wasn’t even seeing straight when they plopped my in the wheelchair with no pillow.
All in all I would NEVER recommend spectrum and truly hope dr Chang opens his own practice where he can take his time and hire a support staff that represents the quality of his work.

A PSA
If you choose Dr. Chang/Spectrum Aesthetics, please be advised that there is ZERO contact with your surgeon before surgery. Absolutely none. A few of my questions couldn’t be answered by his staff, and I have to wait until the day before to speak to him. It’s very different from my experience with my tummy tuck with Dr. Pan/Esana Medspa, and I don’t feel comfortable or confident. Spectrum feels like a surgery factory. I hope the result is worth the stress.

Pre Op 2
I had to postpone my surgery, and am now scheduled for August 3rd. I’m gathering my post-op items, am should be getting my blood work paperwork this week. Here are before photos of my body and arms, which I added on for lipo. I’ve gained another five pounds, and hoping to continue the trend from now until surgery. I have my flights and room booked, and am getting nervous now!
