CareCredit Terms at Evolution MD

Wish I had known from the very beginning... two weeks away from my scheduled surgery, I find out Evolution MD only offers 12 months no interest with CareCredit. I had to cancel my surgery. So back to diet and exercise until I am able to save enough cash for surgery. Also anyone who plans paying with credit card, please note that you will be subject to 10% charge of total. Save your money and pay your surgery in cash, you will get a better deal this way.

Pre & Post Surgical Instructions & Recommendations

Here are the instructions I got when doing my pre op labs. This is getting real. Surgery is literally 3 weeks away! I wouldn’t have booked my surgery with Dr. Velilla if I didn’t think he’s good at his craft but I’m still nervous.

Pre Op Labs on 2/27

So on Wednesday, I had my labs done. They drew some blood, did an EKG, asked me some questions about my health and family history and I received my pre and post operative instructions as well as the prescriptions that I need to fill. Results came in today (Friday, March 1st). Everything was fine except my bilirubin was high (1.94) so doctor asked me to get a liver ultrasound. I don’t think it’s anything serious... honestly, my first thought was if it could be related to my diet (I’ve been on Keto since October 2018) but then I remembered I did labs in December and my bilirubin levels were normal. Only other thing I’ve done different is that I started fasting in February. I average 16 hours a day but I’ve managed to go as long as 19 hours. I came across a forum of people who have had an increase in bilirubin and also fast so now I’m wondering if it’s correlated? Either way, I still need to get the liver ultrasound done; planning on handling that next week... Hoping for the best.
