Skinny BBL - got 600CC butt with very little hips

Things I Wish I'd Done Differently for my BBL. Learn from Me!

$5,999
I had my BBL in June 2019 with Dr. K. Mosca. All in all, even though I'm not completely happy with my results, the surgery can have great results if gone about it the right way. I'm currently working my buns off in the gym to change the shape of my new BUTT which is not the goal 6 months after surgery.
LADIES, here are the mistakes I made that kept me from the results of a great BBL. :
1. (Picking a doctor) If you can go to a doctor that you've seen their work IN PERSON. Lots of doctors only post the best angles of their best patients on different platforms like social media. Even after I told my doctor that I wasn't particularly happy with my results, he told me to send him some of my "best" pictures I'm guessing to post on his page. Reality is, you don't want to just see people's best pictures or results from just good angles. You want to see it ALL! ... so if you can, go to a doctor that you've seen their results in person from all angles.
2. (Picking a doctor outside the US) Don't let doctors in the US convince you that it's not safe to go out of the country for your procedure. Plastic surgery is done, and was developed, all over the world. My girlfriend had her BBL done in Columbia and not only do her results look 1,000 times better than mine, but her surgery center was absolutely gorgeous AND her surgery cost half the price of mine and the staff was a million times more hands on with her than mine were. I was actually surprised to see how dingy my surgery room was, and the surgery center not so nice either. So don't be afraid to look for doctors outside of the US. The legit ones do great work and in my opinion are able to make better shapes for the BBL.
3. Please, even though its not totally necessary, try and choose a doctor who is a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON. Not a doctor with a specialty in plastic surgery, but an actual plastic surgeon.
4. (You consult and pre-surgery) Make sure that your doctor is spending enough time with you during your consult AND ESPECIALLY BEFORE YOUR SURGERY to make you feel comfortable. Before my surgery my doctor seemed to be not only rushing, but not even open to seeing pictures of the look I was going for. A good doctor who cares will ask for at least on image to make sure you both are on the same page. THIS ALONE COULD HAVE CHANGED MY RESULTS! All my doctor asked me is what shape I wanted, and I told him that I wanted a upside down heart shape with a super small waste. He told me he didn't need to see a photo and there wasn't much conversation about it after that. Literally we talked about it for no longer than 2 minutes. At that point I was so nervous that I just trusted his judgement and skill to give me the results I wanted and expected. BIG MISTAKE! Cleary we had two different definitions of heart shaped. :( Make sure every last detail is discussed right before your surgery as you're getting marked and that you two are on the same page as far as your results. My doctor told me that he was going to put about 600CC for each buttocks which I voiced wasn't enough for me. He said he'll see what he could do and I never saw him again. You know what I got? 600CC per butt cheek. The reason our # of CCs were different was because I was including hips and he wasn't. I assumed that he knew that I wanted fat injected to the sides of my butt to round out and complete my BBL. Assuming that he knew and not voicing myself got me a 600CC butt with very little hips (aka a square butt), so do not hesitate to speak up, voice yourself, or even say NO that's not what I want.
5. Lastly, go with your intuition. There were things that happened at my surgery center before my surgery that made me question following through with not only my surgery center, but also my doctor. I ignored my intuition which was a mistake. Now I'm looking forward to having to spend more money in the future to correct what could've been done with the first time around. So if you spirit is telling you something, listen. Surgery is painful and expensive and not to be wasted.
You really can have great results with this surgery as many people do. I hope this helps and I wish you ladies the best of luck :)
A little side note to add is that my doctor (Dr. Mosca) is a decent doctor and he always responds to all of my messages. There's definitely more mass to my butt, but for me the shape isn't there, which was what I was getting the surgery for in the first place. There are lots of patients who are very happy with his work, and this review shouldn't take away from that. This is just my experience. I hope it helps! -XO

Very honest and helpful. I agree as I am probably looking at a round 2 to get what I could have achieved in one round if I'd picked the right surgeon. Just don't know if I can go through the recovery again. Who are you thinking of for a second round? X
Exactly how I feel! That recovery was ROUGH (in my opinion anyway), plus I'm small so I currently don't have enough fat to do anything. I'll probably get a round #2 done after I have some kids if I even go through with doing it again (oh the agony lol). Haven't decided on a doctor yet, but I'll probably go out of the country this time. :)
You just wrote a truly amazing post that is certain to help others tremendously!
Thank you. I hope so!
Thank you for your amazing post this will help a lot of people including me .
You're so welcome!
Great detailed photo-journal posts with pros/cons - I wish more people would do the same so those of us considering surgery could get a better understanding of what it entails. Good to know your impression of the doctor, staff and clinic. And I can really see what you mean by the difference picture angles make.
I know you were hoping for a different result, and may need more surgery to get it, but still quite a difference for an improved look!
Best of luck with your healing & any future surgeries.
I appreciate that so much, and yes I agree totally. Yep, there's definitely a difference which is why I feel like it wasn't a total waste. Thanks Dr. Mosca!
Thank you for sharing this info! Would you mind also sharing who the DR in Columbia was that your friend went to? I am considering going out of the country as well :-)

Okay, now that I can decently function (lol) let me fill you guys in.
The surgery is the easiest part. The massages are the worst, and sleeping is super uncomfortable.
Dr. Mosca has been easily available for me after surgery. I’m basically texting him.
The biggest mistake I made was not showing him a wish pic. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SURGEON WHAT YOU WANT YOUR BODY TO LOOK LIKE. Things were moving so fast the morning of surgery (which was the first time we even discussed what I wanted to look like) that I just described it to him. “Heart shape”. Bad idea, because even though he did a good job, the shape that I wanted wasn’t exactly there. So please, take a photo.
Other than that the ppl at the facility were very sweet. The fajas they provide suck and are extremely uncomfortable around the vagina. They squished my butt the first 2-3 days where I could see that I lost projection. It was way too tight around my butt. Not to mention they’re $100 more than a regular, comfortable faja. I no longer wear it. Waste of money as well as a huge rash on my vagina that’s super uncomfortable now.
Update you guys more later. XO!

I think you look great!
I appreciate that. Really. Definitely a difference, I think I was jut expecting more. XO!
You look amazing! I'm considering this surgery and I'm very thin as well. 5'5 at 115. I don't have much fat but this gives me hope lol
I think that if you go wit a doctor that’s good at working with smaller patients then you’ll be fine. Just pig out month or two before lol I ended up with 3,000cc of fat taken out. He only used 1200cc to graft. If you want it, go for it :)
Thank you :)
