I scheduled my bbl today with dr Earle at avana, my surgery is May 7th I’ll be traveling to Miami and most likely staying in a recovery house because I have no one to travel with me. I’m a little nervous and upset because I will have to leave my 1 year old with my mom for the week but I’ve wanted this for so long. If anyone has gone to dr Earle or avana or has any recommendations for a recovery house please let me know! I was looking into comfort stay

So for anyone who has had experience with avana, I payed my deposit and scheduled my surgery date on Friday, I didn’t receive any type of receipt to my email it just says $500 dollars was payed on my portal. I also never received any type of email about my surgery date or anything. I don’t feel comfortable buying my plane ticket and paying for everything until I have something in writing. I’ve been working with jasmine and she says coordination will be the one to send me all of that information when they contact me. Is that right? I’ve seen a lot of story’s and just want to make sure I’m taking every percaution

That’s funny because every time I email my coordinator she never responds my surgery is paid in full and I’m scheduled for April 2nd I just have Some questions and she never responds

Did they email you the lab paperwork and everything that has your surgery date on it?

Yes.. my appointment tomorrow for my doctor I had to print the paperwork out so my doctor can see what test they want

Today would be the second business day they’ve worked since I payed it. Before I payed it they were very quick getting back to me but since I payed they haven’t responded. I was going to stay at comfort stay recovery but everyone on here keeps saying not to stay at a recovery house so now I’m not really sure what to do.

It’s ok it was the same way with me but the closer you get to your date the more emails you will receive they will send u a email for your lab work and to be cleared by your doctor u will also receive a count down email a list of things you will need as well but always feel free to call they are very good at answering concerns and they will tell you who your coordinator will be which at times the closer u get your coordinator will change too and if they are not available they will definitely pass it on and before the day is over they will return your call they also will answer emails my date was push back because of my iron and I had to loose weight but I’m doing it Day by day step by step my date now is April 12 I’m going with doctor Earle just trust and believe it’s all good

I need suggestions!!! Recovery house is my only option so I need suggestions on a good one. I’ve been looking at comfort stay recovery they have a private room. I want a private room if anyone has anything to say about this recovery house or any other please let me know
