AMAZING. PURE EXCELLENCE.
I was referred to Elite MD after a horrible experience with a BBL from another surgeon. I not only hated my results, but the process was horrible and I ended up in ER shortly after. I wasn’t looking to spend the money to have my botched results fixed, but I was referred to Dr. Bansal and decided to just go for it.
It was life changing! I have experience with three other surgeons and have consulted with many more. This wasn’t my first rodeo, so I have the experience to confidently state: Dr. Bansal is hands down the best. I am writing this review hoping that other women don’t make the mistake I did – money wasted, painful recovery from botched procedures. I know that so many women are tempted to either a) go to a cheap and unsafe “Build a Barbie” clinic in Miami or Mexico or b) overpay for a surgeon in Beverly Hills and think that the high cost means great service and results. Because it still is somewhat taboo for your average 40-50 year old working professional, lawyer, doctor, etc to have plastic surgery, we don’t talk about it and share our experiences. I am sharing mine because I want women like myself to be well-informed.
I could write a novel on my experience (and I am happy to provide more details for any prospective clients, just message me), but here are the main points.
Why I love Dr. Bansal and Elite MD:
1. Before the procedure: extensive and thorough consultation to truly understand what you as the patient want, need, and are concerned about. I felt like the team was invested in knowing as much as possible about me and my medical history, and committed to educating me about the procedure and how to ensure success. The consultations, reading materials, guides, and recommended YouTube videos, podcasts, and Netflix documentaries gave me so much reassurance. Before Elite, I had to seek out all of my own information (thank you RealSelf!). Elite MD provides you with everything.
2. After the procedure: I only knew about lymphatic drainage massage from my own attempts at research online before my first BBL. Elite MD includes them in your package! They have an amazing, certified massage therapist – Rema -- that has magic hands. You don’t have to guess at how to maintain your results and ensure the best recovery – they tell you everything you need and have the staff to do it. One stop shop!
3. Total transformation of mind and body: this wasn’t just about one procedure. It’s a holistic body transformation. We discussed physical health, mental and emotional health, spiritual well-being, and longevity. No other surgeon has ever discussed any of this with me – which is why four years ago after my first procedure I cried for a week and had no idea the emotional implications of this process. I still regularly speak with Dr. Bansal about maintaining my results, and living a healthy and joyful lifestyle.
4. Dr. Bansal was the first and only surgeon to acknowledge that as a Black woman, my skin, muscles and bones have their own biological characteristics. I loved the special care given to women of color, and the expertise and experience from a diverse staff. Black women aren’t the typical targeted group of clients outside of Atlanta or Miami. And yet every Black woman I know has considered elective procedures (and has plenty of disposable income for it).
5. The entire staff, especially Vanessa the Director of Care, exhibits pure excellence: no question was too big or too small. Her knowledge, warmth, and dedication was exceptional. She guided me through the whole process, checked in regularly before and after. In my previous surgeries, I was completely on my own. I wasn’t even seen for 2 weeks after my first BBL procedure elsewhere. With Dr. B, I was back the day after, then the day after that, and then regularly for the first few weeks. Vanessa called and texted to ensure all was well. This was HUGE. This is NOT typical for other surgeons. When I started ugly crying during my second post-op procedure, everyone was so loving. Cheryl, my angel, the Chief of Staff, came over and held me. I just cannot explain how well cared for I was. A BBL is very invasive and recovery is tough no matter what. You need a team to help you and I had that.
6. RESULTS, RESULTS, RESULTS!! I had major hip dips before my first BBL. Most of the fat transfer didn’t survive. My “after” picture looked no different than my first. After Dr. Bansal fixed my BBL, I have the body of my dreams. He is a perfectionist, takes his time, and really is an artist that will sculpt and snatch your body. I am blown away and couldn’t be happier. As a patient that lived with a botched BBL for two years prior, I didn’t think I would ever be happy. I am so glad I was blessed with a referral to Elite MD and I am paying it forward and hoping to bless someone else!
