Office review: they canceled my surgery
Please read before booking with them! Would leave 0 starts if I could. I received medical clearance. I paid for everything and went to pre op. During prep op they said our nicotine test are not here they are within route. Call back to see if they are here , so you can take test. I called back they said they aren’t here. You can take test during surgery day. I was giving surgery date and time. I came in for surgery at 12 and surgery time was not until 3. I was sitting nomore than a good 10-15 mins, before they came to get me for urine nicotine test. I took the test and the women said it’s negative but the line looks a little faint. They left out the room to Discuss it. Came back and told me to get back dress. They could not except my nicotine test even though it was negative bc the line looked faintly shaded. Said I must’ve been around second hand smoke. I feel like I was the last surgery of the day(3p.m) and Dr. Ghurani just didn’t feel like doing mines bc he was over booked. I seen the chart with the bookings and his name was on most of them. I left and received a phone call stating that they could reschedule it to March. This was the earliest they had bc Dr. Ghurani was about to go on vacation! She told me I would have to get my labs and medical clearance done all over again. Mind you, I drove for hours because I am not from Miami.
I asked them could they do my labs there. She said yes it would be an extra $100. She then stated to come back to the facility for labs. I turned back around and went back. I waited for almost and hour before I told them I just wanted a refund. They said I could have my cell saver back and would have to request the other part of my refund through the patient portal. I waited to receive my cell saver money and no one ever came. Final she said the money has already left to go to the bank do you have Zelle. I was like yes through Bank of America. I gave her my information and waited again. Then she finally stated Isabella the general manger will post it to your account by 5. If she don’t, call after 5! First off, why would you tell me to call after 5 when you know y’all will be closed? I asked for a medical excuse for the days I missed traveling, prep op day, and surgery day. They said they couldn’t do that. I asked could I have a note stating that my surgery was canceled to give to the massage place I had prepaid for, so they wouldn’t charge me the full amount. She said we did not cancel you we rescheduled you. I looked at her like does this line work on ppl. EVERYONE KNOWS IN ORDER TO RESCHEDULE SOMEONE THAT MEANS EITHER YOU CANCELED THEM OR THEY CANCEL. That’s what the RE part is for.
If I’m not getting my desired procedure done that day bc you decided to send me home and switch my days…. That means you CANCLED me. They didn’t care about how far I had to travel, how much money I had to spend, what I had to do or endure to get there in the 1st place. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. Ladies please do your research. Please take into consideration that if they cancel you for any specific reason or you cancel THEY ARE GETTING A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR MONEY FOR FREE. If these ppl do not follow simple rules like manufactured guidelines for test. They most likely go against all other guidelines. They make up there on rules! Let’s see how long it takes for refund. I will update!
