Office Review: Lux Cosmetic Surgery has Horrible Customer Service and Surgery Coordinators’

My experience with Lux started out very positive. My communication with my coordinator Elaine was very informative up until I made the down payment to secure the quoted price for the doctor I chose. It took me a while to decide on a date and the coordinator I originally worked with was no longer available, there was never a new person assigned to help me but I did speak with Liz who was helpful but there was a lack of follow up and communication that concerned me. My concerns were valid because now there’s no communication at all and forget about calling directly. It’s the most sorry excuse for anything I’ve ever experienced as far as Customer Service goes. Everyone is rude, everyone places you on hold or hangs up and very argumentative. Afterwards you have to start the process over again. Everyone speaks to you as if there selling you a car but it’s an “Ass” on my part but I don’t want that! I already know why I’m calling and I want to speak with someone who’s patient and caring and is interested in helping me achieve my goals.
Unfortunately the doctor I chose sadly passed away recently and I never received an update or a call and my surgery is scheduled for September 2019. I was told to call and find a new doctor by text when I questioned my options and because I don’t have a coordinator I asked who I should ask for and no word!! Nothing!! Nada!!! Why would I trust this group of people to organize an operation that could affect my health or life even. There are no words for my disgust with how this is being handled and all I can do is smh. I want my down payment refunded but I won’t hold my breath. Back to the drawing board it is.....

I have these same concerns. I placed a down payment last year and like you said, the calls stopped and when I do get to speak to someone after calling 100 times I get a call back and they are always trying to sell me something. I feel very uneasy about going there now after Dr. Worrell passed away. I honestly feel like he was the only secure person to work with in that office. I’m thinking of taking the loss of my deposit and going elsewhere. They work with new doctors from another location that I much rather go to now.

Soon after I posted my response a new coordinator reached out to me explaining what my options were. I decided to go with Dr. Magic Mike Rodriguez however, I haven’t been able to connect once again to select a date. I would like to have the procedure no later than October this year, I hope everything works out for you and I don’t blame you for considering taking the loss of your down payment, the thought has crossed my mind a couple times. Good luck!

I was fortunate enough to go with Dr. Worrell right before his passing. My issue was my deposit refund because I paid in full through CareCredit. They used the excuse I needed to email it which I did, then used the excuse of the passing of the Doctor. Took over 2 months & then they charged the deposit again! In the process of disputing it.

Hey just an update. I went through care credit & disputed the amount. They refunded the $265 insurance back. I also got my deposit back finally. Good luck.
