Listen to Me. Go See Dr Salama
WORTH IT$7,500
I have heard SO many horror stories about plastic surgery recovery that I was absolutely terrified to have surgery. Not because I didn’t want the results, but because I genuinely expected to wake up looking like a complete crime scene, unable to do anything for myself, needing help using the bathroom, eating, walking, and feeling completely delirious afterward.
I also saw some negative reviews online that honestly worried me, only to later realize a lot of them were clearly fake copy/paste reviews posted under multiple surgeons.
So I want to share my REAL experience with Dr. Salama at Elite Plastic Surgery in Hollywood, Florida after having Lipo 360 + BBL today at 7am.
From my very first consultation through email with my patient coordinator, I was treated with nothing but kindness, patience, and understanding. Over the last 3 months I have probably called or emailed them 15 times with questions, anxiety, concerns, and every random thought imaginable — and not ONCE did anyone make me feel like a burden.
Every single question was answered thoroughly. I was educated on Dr. Salama’s surgical process, safety measures, and recovery expectations. He uses ultrasound guidance during surgery to ensure fat is not placed too deeply, he uses drains, and because he owns both his practice and surgical center, the entire process feels extremely organized and personal — not rushed or “pump and dump.”
The facility itself is BEAUTIFUL. Extremely clean, organized, professional, and calming.
The morning of surgery I spent over an hour with Dr. Salama, and I cannot say enough good things about his bedside manner. He is funny, patient, honest, realistic, comforting, and genuinely makes you feel cared for as a person — not just another surgery on the schedule.
He never once tried to upsell me on procedures I didn’t need. I’ve had 3 C-sections and honestly expected to be pushed into getting a tummy tuck, but instead he was completely honest with me. He explained I may have some loose skin afterward because of pregnancies, but suggested trying non-surgical options first before ever considering a mini tuck. He actually said he’d be surprised if I even needed one.
I showed him my wish pictures and instead of just saying “yes” to everything, he educated me on body proportions and realistic expectations. I’m tall with a longer torso/backside, and he explained that certain shapes look different depending on body structure. What I appreciated most was how REAL he was with me while still making me feel confident and excited.
He complimented my natural figure in such a professional and respectful way and made me feel genuinely comfortable and confident.
He also personally promised me that he would see me himself at my post-op appointment the next morning, gave me his personal number if I needed anything, and told me he wanted to stay in close contact throughout recovery to make sure everything was going well. I’ve already been checked on multiple times by the office today alone and will be seeing him again in the morning. That level of care honestly means everything when you’re nervous and vulnerable after surgery.
His anesthesiologist, Vivian, was AMAZING. She explained everything thoroughly, made me feel calm, and was incredibly sweet throughout the process.
The operating room was spotless and comfortable. I went under anesthesia quickly, and when I woke up I was in a recovery bed with the sweetest nurse ever taking care of me. Nobody rushed me out. Nobody treated me like a number. They told me I could stay as long as I needed.
And here’s the part I wish someone had told ME beforehand:
I did NOT wake up covered in blood leaking everywhere in some horrifying recovery nightmare.
I am clean. I have minimal drainage. I have one drain that I empty throughout the day. I’m swollen and sore, yes — mostly in my torso — but it is honestly nowhere near what I mentally prepared myself for.
I can already see my waist shape even through the swelling, ab boards, lipo foam, and compression.
My butt honestly doesn’t even hurt.
I can walk around on my own. I don’t need assistance using the bathroom. My friend drove me home, made me food, and helped me settle in for the first few hours, but overall I have been completely okay and able to move around independently.
I know everyone heals differently, but after spending months terrified reading horror stories online, I felt like I owed it to people to share a positive and honest experience too.
Dr. Salama has been incredible from start to finish, and I am genuinely so thankful I chose him.
If you are considering surgery and are scared — I completely understand. But my experience with Dr. Salama and Elite Plastic Surgery has honestly exceeded every expectation I had.
