Liposuction/fat Transfer to Buttocks

This is my 4 weeks post op pics still very swollen in my stomach... will post more pics in the coming weeks hoping my stomach starts to take shape soon and my waist cinches in more I think he was very aggressive with the lipo cause I am still sore....

Today marks 4 weeks post op and although my post op paper work says I can start to sit on my bum now I am not going to I just feel like I should wait a few more weeks before doing that I want to make sure everything is nice and healed and there is a good blood supply getting to my bum. I have not really driven anywhere only to pick up my daughter from school a couple times and I make sure to use my bbl pillow the drive is also very short she goes to school right here in our neighborhood where we live so its not like Im spending lots of time in the car driving around.

Let me get into my review.... I have been following Dr. Mendieta has on IG for a while and really liked the results he posted. Also I liked the fact that he is very well established and very well educated and knows his stuff to me that was a deal breaker. I also had my husband research him and he felt super confident that Mendieta was the doctor for us. I was put in touch with a coordinator Colleen sent in my pics and she was very prompt to get back to me with pricing they did suggest I get a tummy tuck but the law in Florida is they can only lipo out 1 litre of fat if they do a cut with it like a tummy tuck. I wanted to maximize my results so declined the tummy tuck and told them i wanted the max amount of fat that was allowed which is 4 liters transfered to my butt. They also suggested Jplasma but since it is so new and the results aren’t promising I did not want to spend an extra $2,000 plus on it and I have already planned on getting a tummy tuck in the future so I wanted to just put the money I would spend in Jplasma towards my tummy tuck later on. I set my surgery date for March 26. Before leaving to Florida I bought some things on amazon that would of been in the “goody bag” Mendieta office sells for $200 I bought a BBL pillow, pee pee urnial thing which ypu will need cause you will pee alot and you do not want to be taking that compression suit off every time. I also bought some lipo foam pads and an ab board off amazon.

Before leaving for Florida and going to the office for the first time I am so happy I came on here and read reviews because it prepared me and I was ready mentally. The office is very busy and very rushed I was prepared for that from reading multiple reviews I was also prepared for people to be rude but I must of went on a good day cause everyone I came in Contact with at the office was super nice and sweet so I was pleasantly surprised. Morning of surgery I was the first patient which was great thats what I was hoping for I like to be the first one operated on that way the doctor is fresh and awake and not rushing to finish. They are very fast with preping you and getting you into the operating room. Once you are done do not expect this great after care they literally throw you out like 1 hour after your surgery I wasn’t even coherent and they were wheeling me out to my husband I remember even saying to the nurse I can’t leave yet I am not ok and she said yes you are fine you have been recovering here with me. My husband was shocked when he saw me and even agreed they shouldn’t have discharged me that early. I definitely give them a 1 star for the after care it was terrible like I cannot believe how they rushed me out of there and there wasn’t even anyone else in the recovery room both beds beside me were free. They also ask you to bring all your pills the morning of surgery which is very odd never had to do that for any surgery I had. Come to find out myself and another patient were missing about 15 oxycodone from our pill containers so there is something shady going on with the nurses inside the surgery center but I am not going to make any accusations.

When I woke up from surgery I was in immense pain and I have had my fair share of surgeries plastic and non. I have also had natural birth which I thought was painful but this surgery definitely takes the cakes. Very painful. I think he was very aggressive with the liposuction cause oh man I am 4 weeks post op and still so soar and swollen I can’t believe how swollen I still am. I had my first massage which the nurse in his office set up for me with KG 1 day post op and it helped alot I went for a total of 5 massages and they helped me alot I felt so much better after i was done even my husband noticed and said it was good I was getting the massages. I had my drains removed on day 6 and I think it might of been to soon to get them out I think she took them out because she knew i was leaving the next day. I only stayed in miami a total of 9 days. Once the drains were removed I felt so free and felt a lot better but I think taking them out to early really made me hold on to fluid hence why I am still so swollen. Anyways still sleeping on my stomach and will continue to for the next few weeks I really just want to maximize my results and hoping not a lot of fat dies. I eat a lot of calories and will probably keep my calorie count up for the next 4 weeks to make sure no fat starves and my body doesn’t take from my bum.

I will recommend staying in a place with a washer and dryer my husband did a ton of laundry you will leak fluid constantly I bought an extra garment from them so I always had a clean one to wear. They aren’t cheap they charge $150 garment but worth it you will definitely need at least two so you always have a clean one to put on.

My advice if you are looking to have surgery done my Dr.Mendieta is to know what you want educate yourself do all your research cause this office does not hold your hand and explain things to you its very fast moving your in and your out and they forget about you you are just a number. They wont really return any phone calls you will have to ask the same question(s) repeatedly to get an answer.
