Lipo and Fat Transfer with Doctor Lipo
allisonnicole7228December 13, 2018
WORTH IT$7,200
Monday Dec 10th ,2018 I had Liposuction and Fat Transfer to my butt with “Doctor Lipo” BKA Doctor Cesar Velilla. My Procedure was done under Local Anesthesia as I have a great fear of Complications with General Anesthesia. I am only 2 days post opp at the moment and I must say that Recovery has been far worse than the surgery. I will be doing additional reviews as I go. Overall, I am satisfied with my body although I probably wouldn’t recommend others to Doctor Lipo. Like many others have said he is not very personable. Prior to surgery I met the Dr. once for maybe 4 minutes. He came in went over what I would like done, did a quick test to see if I could tolerate local (squeezed parts of my stomach really hard) and that was it. The day of surgery he seemed rushed, after the nurses gave me some sedatives he came in asked how I wanted my body marked me up and had them bring me in. I raised my concern to him that I didn’t feel “sedated” enough , I felt 100% awake and he said he had something for me in the surgery room and to remember it was local not general. Once the procedure started one of the nurses put some medication into my IV and I was out ! I remember bits and pieces of my surgery including some strange man working on me (im guessing dr Lipo has another doctor either start his work, or assist) I did recognize doctor lipo’s voice later on in the surgery. That was a bit confusing to me b/c not sure who the other man was. 2 days post opp i haven’t seen the doctor again although my follow up was supposed to be with him ! I also developed a bruise that the Nurse practitioner seems concerned about . I will upload pictures if anyone knows any remedies to help

Lipo Bruise Post Lipo /BBL
allisonnicole7228December 15, 2018
So at my 1 day Post Opp appointment that was the first time I took off my garment and the Nurse Practitioner notified me that I developed a Bruise right at one of my incision points (on my stomach) she was concerned that if I continue to wear the garment the bruise would crack my skin ! She instructed me not too, began oxygen therapy on the bruise (an oxygen tank attached to a small needle, and poking the bruise site to allow oxygen flow) , prescribed me cream to apply on the bruise every hour and had me follow up every day to repeat treatment. Today is 5 days post opp for me and the bruise is still present although it has gotten smaller . The most annoying part of this is not being able to wear my garment b/c my body has gotten swollen and I have been retaining a lot of fluid ! It feels so disgusting and heavy and I even started crying about it yesterday lol (I think it’s the meds ) . Has any one else had a similar bruise? If so how did you treat it !

So sorry you’re experiencing this discomfort. I’m sure it will improve in time. If it’s healing you should be able to wear your compression garment soon. In the meantime drink lots of Arnica tea, eat fresh pineapple and juice and massage the swollen areas with a rolling pin or hand massager. Are you able to get the lymphatic massages?

Thank you so much for your suggestions . I was only able to get two massages so you can imagine how swollen I feel . Do you know of any places that sell the arnica tea ? I brought the rub but the tea might work better . Thank you so much hun

December 16, 2018
You can find the Arnica Tea at Walmart stores and Walmart.com. Also the Arnica pills and gel too.

If you can’t get lymphatic massages get a loved one to massage the lipo areas with a good massage oil and a massage roller. Watch some videos on YouTube on lymphatic massages that can assist them. Stay lifted sis!

Also make sure you are wearing a proper fitting faja. Compression is key to help control the swelling. Your faja should be tight but not unbearable. Wear it 23/7 these 1st few weeks. Make sure you wear a tank under to protect your skin and lipo foam boards too.

Thank you for your suggestions! The arnica tea and pineapple have definitely eased a lot of the discomfort! Thanks again hun

Things I would have liked to See/Experience with Doctor Cesar Velilla
allisonnicole7228December 15, 2018
As Many of you have mentioned in your reviews Doctor Velilla is a great doctor but is not very personable! After investing so much money and trust into such a procedure you have certain expectations:
1. An Actual Sit down Session where he sees what I want, and makes professional suggestions/recommendations on what would work for my body type. Part of what your paying for when you chose a surgeon is their expertise! He does not make any recommendations on what he thinks , if you come in saying you want to look like a horse he will do it . Which I mean I get it your paying, but I would also like to see some remote interest by the doctor for me. Even hair stylist make suggestions when your in their chair.
2. Follow up with the actual doctor . After surgery you want to meet with your actual Surgeon, not a Nurse Practitioner or CNA. I trusted you with my body/life . He is extremely busy I get it , but I definitely think he should make it a point to meet with everyone he has worked on even if only once. And not just push you on some one else.
3. “Real” meeting prior to surgery. Yes I met with the Doctor once before surgery; but as previously mentioned the meeting from start to finish was MAYBE 4 minutes! He came in , went over what procedure I was having, had me stand up and did a test to see if I could tolerate local anesthesia (squeeze parts of my stomach) and said okay see you on surgery day. It was super rushed, and impersonal .
4. The facility is run like a Chop Shop/ assembly line. The office is jam packed any time of the day , it’s in a commercial plaza with restaurants and business offices so people are wheeled out from surgery, walking around with drains hanging and bloody garment feet away from a Real Estate office. No matter what time your “appointment” is you will be waiting to be seen
5. Not many Fluent English Speakers . (Not really a deal breaker for me because I live in Miami so I get it ) but it is kind of difficult when trying to understand such sensitive information such as medical Information from someone who does not speak very much English. They make a very good effort, just can be confusing at times when they are unsure how to communicate effectively in English. Just something to consider if that may be a problem for you.
Overall I am pleased with my results but I probably wouldn’t have another procedure done with him or recommend anyone to him. It simply depends on what matters to you. If your only about results and don’t care for the process then he may work for you.

Everything you mention, I agree 100%! I tried to see him about my ball of fat but it was ALWAYS a nurse or someone else! I told his NP that she didn't do the surgey on me so why I am taking to you? She was like, "O, he is in surgey". Really, even thou I made the Appt. to be seen by him and only him??? It is run like a chop shop and as well I only meant with Velilla im total 10 mins before surgey! I didn't ask for hips (since I have them already, but yet he injected more fat into my hips. The fat got absorb on my hips either way and look the same. I told him I wanted ALL my fat in my butt and butt only. Sorry you have a bruise and hopefully it heals! Hate for it to leave a scar. You should find out if he burn you with the lipo instrument. Get it checked out by you family doctor just in case. Much luck to you girly!

I apologize you feel that way about Evolution MD. We strive to make each and every single patient happy.
Patients come in with an idea of how they want to look. Depending if the vision is possible or not a recommendation will be made. If the patient’s vision is doable then it can proceed to make it a reality. During the consultation I will carefully address any questions in mind of the patient. Once the patient is satisfied with all questions answered the consultation will be over.
The nurse practitioners at Evolution MD are qualified and professionally trained by myself personally in order for them to assist each and every patient with care. I am available for any patient who requests to see me.
The doctor consultation consists of examining you and answer any of your questions regarding your surgery. Once that is done then it is determined the consultation is complete and the patient is ready for surgery.
Evolution MD is one of the few clinics in the state of Florida with the seal from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). As it is a clinic, the facility will have many patients coming regarding any of their purposes; it being a pre-op, surgery, or follow-up meeting, thus making the clinic a very busy medical center.
The whole facility has knowledge of how to communicate properly within the English language. No question will go unanswered. We will make sure all questions and concerns are answered before the patient leaves.
We would like to discuss this with you in more detail in person or over the phone. Please contact us at your earliest convenience at 954-367-7984.
