Horrible Experience

Horrible Experience

$10,500
My experience with the doctor was very minimal. I was only able to meet and speak with him the day of surgery and never got to meet with him after my surgery. He never checked on me the next day he has his nurse do all of that. My experience at Elite Plastic Surgery was not a great one. I flew from LA to FL with my mom and the day before my surgery I was supposed to have my Pre Op and nobody called me or let me know what time the surgery was so I had to keep calling the office but they were closed on Sunday. So I had to call the Dr.Salama and let him know that I have a surgery with him tomorrow and nobody had let me know what time it’s at and I emailed people from the office and nobody has gotten back to me. He said he will call his nurse and she will get back to me. So 3 hours later the nurse got back to me and was very rude on the phone then she tells me she sent me and email and called me that Friday and I never received either, she then tells me she sees that the email never got sent to me that she forgot to send it. She then tells me what time to come in at and what to bring and was just very rude about it. This was my first time having surgery so I was very nervous and the job as the nurse is to make sure I’m feeling good and feeling comfortable and make sure this whole process is going smoothly and instead I was very stressed and second guessing if I should even go through with the surgery because they were just so unprofessional. The next day I come in for my surgery and they tell me my mom can’t be in the waiting room because of Covid, which is understandable but they never even asked for my Covid test which they said I needed get they never asked for the results of them. Then I go into the room and wait to meet with the doctor I speak with him for a little bit then he started to fill out stuff on the computer, then he asks me how much I weigh which I think is weird because I feel like they should’ve weighed me there to see how much I am before I go into surgery but they didn’t I just told him a number that I remember I was last time I had went to the doctor office. I then go in for surgery and it went okay I remember waking up super cold and they put me in a wheel chair and take me to the back for my mom to pick me up. They said they were going to call my mom to check and she how I’m doing. We never received a phone call from the nurse which this is her job and she failed to do one simple thing which is call the patient after she just got a major surgery. Then the next day I come in for my post op appointment and they told me it was at 12:00 I waited in the waiting room for an hour and they wouldn’t let my mom in so she had to wait in the car. The front desk girls are also really rude and if they are running late common courtesy would be to call and say “hey we’re running late do you think you can come in 30 minutes” or whatever at least call dont just have me waiting there in pain and then when I ask them how much longer she tells me she doesn’t know. So if the front desk who books the appointments doesn’t know who knows ? and they did this every single time we had an appointment they were never on time always an hour or and hour and 30 minutes late and they would never call to let us know ahead of time they would just have me waiting there. Then I wasn’t going to the bathroom for 5 days and my mom asked them how long is it normal for her not to go to the bathroom and one of the girls replies “ I don’t know I’m not a doctor.” That was a super rude answer and I’m paying all this money to come and get my surgery done with this Dr. and facility the least they could do is ask the doctor since she wants to give a smart remark. My mom needed up having to give me a suppository and I went after 6 days. I would go in for my massages and the was the only highlight the 2 massage therapists were the only people there that were nice and asked me how I was feeling and how I’m doing. Nobody ever asked me how I’m feeling or how I was doing or if I was ever able to go to the bathroom. I stayed for 11 days out there, when I came home I started rot see that my stomach had lumps and was very hard and the massage therapist out here told me that I developed a seroma which is a pocket of fluid and it needed to be drained. I then contacted the nurse and she told me that I need to compress it and if it doesn’t go away in 4-5 days it needs to be drained and I would have to find someone to drain it. I feel that knowing they have a lot of patients traveling to come to them they should have someone in the main places that people come from to be able to take a look at it. I had to pay out of my pocket 200 dollars to have it drained and I feel that they should reimburse me because this is there fault. After I told her that she never checked on me to see if it went away or how I’m doing they don’t care at all they just care to get paid and that’s it. Also the reason why I developed a seroma is because the garment they provide isn’t a good faja it’s cheaply made and isn’t tight enough it’s made out of a nylon material and where I go to get my massages is also a plastic surgery place and the doctor told me that the garment is super cheap and isn’t tight enough and they gave me a 2XL which was way to big and I ended up buying my own garment and it’s a medium. I would never recommend anyone to come here ever and I hope that the facility reads my review and can change the the way they run thing at the office and I hope the doctor if he doesn’t know how his employees are because this is super ridiculous.

So, I totally agree with the customer service experience after you have had the surgery. (Usually, they are better before surgery because obviously they want you to book, etc.) No one checked up on me either after my last appointment with them. I was an out of town patient-- and I had to demand that I see Dr. Salama before my return. To me, it's crazy he only sees you for like 1 minute the day post op and doesn't care to right before you leave to return home / out of state. I remember also having to demand with reception-- that they let me go in to lay down if I was going to have to wait (post surgery), because I felt really drowsy and can't sit post bbl. Anyway, I don't think they really cared for their patients like that. (Massage ladies were nice and the best). Nomi is rude.
