Finally doing something for me!

35 yr old mother of two scheduled with dr stover at avana in Miami 2/5/19. I’m 5ft 8” 170lbs. Had previous lipo on lower abdomen that left me with an ugly lipo dent in 2007. I had a breast augmentation in 2010 with a tiny fat transfer in attempt to fix the dent from the previous lipo but all the fat from the transfer was absorbed and there was zero improvement. Like most other women on here I have done a ton of research primarily watching YouTube reviews and on RealSelf. I am undecided if I want to stay in the Airbnb or a hotel. Mostly just very excited to get my procedure!!

Originally I had chose Spectrum Aesthetics and decided in Dr Chang. But I am a huge “review” person and I take others experiences into consideration - even though the ultimate decision is mine. However when I see review after review after review of the same thing it makes me a little weary. Over and over again I kept seeing how the doctor himself was great but the customer service and the experience with the office staff is a nightmare. I simply cannot I know my Spanish temper will come out and I will act a whole entire fool! Now I know my experience might have been all together different but it just wasn’t a risk I was willing to take because for me this surgery is a big deal and I want everything to go as smoothly as possible.
So I started emailing a few offices to set up virtual consults and decided I go from there.
Seduction Cosmetic Center took a week to contact me back - so they were out.
Jolie Plastic Surgery I kept finding great results but again with the reviews of horrible customer service and no one returning phone calls not to mention the fact that they have changed their clinic name a few times apparently due to a death of one of their patients during surgery Lord bless her soul I can’t imagine - absolutely not.
Xiulet Plastic Surgery was very nice and informative and answered any questions I had buttttt I found several yes honey several reviews of ladies that came to their surgery center from out of town only to find out that their coordinator never put their surgery on their official books so they spent all this money only to be told “um we don’t have you scheduled for today” Jesus take the wheel I would have lost my entire mind no ma’am - definitely out!
Lux Plastic Surgery was nice I wasn’t a fan of whenever the called me there was so much noise in the background. There just seemed like there was too much going on in there but I was still liking everything else. Then I went on Yelp with my little nosey behind - out!
Avana Plastic Surgery ohhh Ol now we’re talking. Can’t find a single negative thing online, the individual doctors reviews are very positive. Kassandra contacted me initially and every time I email her she immediately responds and if I ask her to call me I swear as soon as I hit send she calls me eager to help. She clearly explained my next steps without me having to ask. She gave me Instagram names off the surgeons I liked she offered to send me before and afters like she really went above and beyond. - SOLD!
I chose Dr Stover for a few reasons a lot of her reviews say how kind compassionate personable she is and that she really listens not to mention her before and after pictures are killing it honey! Her medical credentials are A1 and no deaths (I know some people may not want to talk about that or think about that but ladies we have to be careful with ourselves so yes I checked, I have babies I need to come home to).
I made my deposit Friday 1/4/19 and will pay my surgery remaining balance by the end of this week (1/11/19). I was told my coordinator would be reaching out to me with all my information such as supplies that I need to have for myself supplies that they will provide me with start stop and continue things like stop smoking start taking vitamins continue drinking lots of water etc. Kassandra reached back out to me though because my surgery is so soon to let me know that I needed to stop taking oral birth control immediately.
So now I am waiting for my coordinator to reach out to me hopefully she will and I don’t have to repeatedly hound the office to get ahold of her.
Good luck to you all we are all in this together ladies and gents and I pray for you all. I welcome anyone to reach out to me for anything as if you have been a friend of mine for 20yrs because that is the support we all need and deserve in this process. ????

I made my deposit Friday Jan 4th and was told my pre-op coordinator would reach out to me later that same day to provide me a list of do’s and Sony’s in preparation for surgery along with the orders for my lab work. Heard from no one Friday, Monday still crickets, Tuesday still nothing so I decided to call the office around 2pm (this is on Tuesday Jan 8th) I spoke to Kassandra and let her know I had yet to speak with my pre-op coordinator. At 6pm I received a call from my coordinator Giannina and she asked if I had any questions. She was patient and thorough and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. She told me she would be sending me two emails one for pre-op instructions and one for my lab work but the lab work email could take up to 48hrs to receive. I Che Jed my email an hour later and already received my instructions. I put the screenshots above in case it’s helpful to anyone. I have read horror stories on the site about people having to track down their coordinators and there being no communication and I was so concerned that I was going to run into that problem but I’m happy to report that so far Avana Plastic Surgery has been wonderful!
