Can't Believe I Did It!
I decided not to do many posts and just do one post after my year post op was over.
I went to Dr. Michael Gartner in Paramus, NJ after watching a video on youtube from Melissa Flores. I thought her results looked natural and have continued to follow her as she is now over a year post op and her results still remain. To start I will write a list of what I thought was needed/helped after my surgery.
-Dial soap- found on amazon
-gauze-which i also used to put in my bellybutton to not lose its shape (my doctor did not tell me this)
-Arnica tablets- to help with swelling/bruising
-Bromelain- to help with swelling
-Ginger tea-I drank once a day or else youll be getting up to pee all day- this helps with swelling as well
-Chuck pads- for leaking
-cheap shower liner from the dollar store-for leaking your first night
-Flushable wipes for after going #2
-360 foam board (or foam inserts) -i bought from prettygirlcurves.com just be careful they are difficult to deal with for returns and do not offer refunds only store credit
-surgical tape- to cover incisions
-Prenatal vitamins-help to restore your body
-I used a rolled up towel to sit on, I used a bbl pillow that cost like $55 did nothing special that a rolled up towel cant do- save your $$
Day of surgery:
I went in around 130 was home by 430, felt kind of rushed out of the surgical center. I said I had to pee, they never let me and just hurried me to my moms car. Besides that I was in so much pain, and I would like to think of myself as someone who has a high pain tolerance, but this was bad! I read reviews of people saying they felt fine afterwards…how?! Thank God for oxy - which made it semi bearable. Would I do it again considering the pain for the results - yes, I definitely think I would. I was miserable with how my body looked and no matter what I did I would only gain weight in my stomach/love handles. For 2 weeks you will be very uncomfortable, your neck will hurt because you can only lay on your stomach. I had to kneel to eat which hurt my knees and my elbows, nothing was really comfortable. It is mostly an annoying experience and i thought to myself how much I wish I could have just been flat chested over having a flat ass because the recovery is nothing like after a BBL, its just so unfair especially considering the fact that only as much as half of the fat to transfer remains- if even at all- and you might need to go in for as many as 2 revisions!
Year after surgery:
My results have remained-for the most part, obviously some swelling went down but that is expected. I am happy with the size and it fits my body, I am very thin (aside from my stomach area) with very thin legs anything bigger and it wouldn’t have looked right with my body. There is also some dimpling on my butt, although that was there from before the surgery it’s not like it appeared afterwards. I will say another important part my doctor did not tell me is to put a ear plug (one of those mushy ones) in your belly button as your healing to stop it from drooping. I didn’t do that as early as I should have and I loved my belly button before and now it is kind of droopy, so just keep that in mind.
Other than that, I am glad I did it. I was made fun of in high school for having no butt and it really took a toll on my self-esteem into adulthood. I was so insecure and hated that I was limited as to what I can wear because I didn’t want people to see my flat ass and my love handles. It is so exciting now being able to wear all the popular styles I wasn’t able to wear before and NO more constantly pulling up my pants because they are falling down.
