Super excited yet super nervous. Trying to stay positive because I know it’s something I been wanting. My Surgical Coordinador was always quick with responding to my questions and concerns. I originally was looking into booking through Mia Aesthetics but had a very difficult time with the Coordinator there. I was really happy to here that the Dr. had his private practice. Booked with Dr. Mendieta in Miami for January 12, 2019. ??????

Staff at 4beauty have been so kind to me, this procedure is very scary and with great staff it makes it that much better. They get back to you in a timely manner, and always very professional. I have one more week before my surgery and I’m soo excited yet still very nervous! I have two kids and all I can think about is them. Hoping Fixing a part of my body I have never liked doesn’t make me selfish. Please send prayers for me, my doctor and his staff.

Hello Ladies! I have now booked my BBL surgery with Dr Mendieta for February 9,2019 and I am so excited. I can’t wait for the day but not looking forward to the recovery lol. I went for my consultation and everyone was really nice. I spoke to Vivian. He told me that he could do bbl but that he suggested I gained at least 10 pounds. That was not what I wanted to hear but I have since stopped going to gym and started eating more and taking a weight gainer and he suggested Ensures but they don’t taste good. I have gained at least 5 pounds so we will see how much I can gain before surgery. It’s so hard for me to gain weight. I originally was going to book through MIA but decided to do it through Dr Mendietas private office and I’m so glad I did. His facility is amazing. I will keep you posted on my weight gain progress and pre op visit.

Thank you! So far it’s been good. I will post pics as soon as I can. I’ll be back for post up on 2/11 and they told me not change gauze's or shower until Then. But really much pain and I get up like every two hours and it feels fine. Not dizzy at all.

I had my all my back , tummy, inner thighs, inner knees and I did an etching too. He was trying to get as much fat as He could because I’m small. Well I haven’t had any issues really. Not a lot of pain just when getting up out of bed. It feels like you had a very very hard workout. But I took my sleeping medicine last night and I sñept pretty good . Like my tummy is the most sore and when I get up out of bed my back and im stiff. But once I start moving around I’m fine. I was up moving around yesterday and eating I was so hungry. And no nausea Whatsover. I recommend moving around as much as possible if you can. It actually feels good too. I go to post op tomorrow and I’ll be able to see how it looks for the first time. So excited

User Avatar
February 10, 2019
Yes girl it does! I was moving yesterday when I got home. I didn’t get any drains which I’ll ask why tomorrow when I go for post op. No shower until tomorrow because she didn’t want me taking garment off today or change gauze so I feel yucky lol. When I up I feel great but laying down gets boring and I think I’m actuslly more sore. Anyways how are you coming along? I’ll post some pics Tomorrow when they take this off. I’m so excited to see and ask questions.

February 10, 2019
No drains! Wow!! Kinda cool. If you get an another garment get a Smaller one because our will shrink.
User Avatar
February 10, 2019
Yes my coordinator told me that to get a smaller one. She gave me a medium because I was in between a small and medium and she said I would be swollen at first and she didn’t want me to be uncomfortable. Do you like your results? Did he take some
Video of procedure?
February 10, 2019
Glad to hear you're doing well. What type of garment did you get, open bit, or closed. I am going in tomorrow for my pre surgery consultation, I'll get to ask all of my questions. My surgeon said he does not use drains either. Are you leaking anywhere?
User Avatar
February 10, 2019
They gave me a long bodysuit type because I had inner knees done. But it’s comfortable. It didn’t have a whole in the vagina area so I just cut it out because I wasn’t going to be taking it off every time to go pee. And you do pee a lot because your supposed to keep hydrated. I am leaking both in front and back. But get adult diapers that can go up passed your waist and that helps so much. I don’t know why he didn’t put drains because I know he does with some patients.

Oh awesome! How many cc’s did he put in each side? I don’t know how many he did to me so I’ll ask tomorrow.. I hope I don’t loose much of it because I know I didn’t have much to start with.
February 10, 2019
Off topic....but may I ask where you got the bra in your first picture? That looks so comfortable!! :)

I got it at Victoria’s Secret. It is and it’s a multiway so you can wear it strapless or criss cross.
February 10, 2019
My Dr. Is Dr. Rockmore from Albany NY. Okay, yea I'm going to ask tomorrow what type of garment I get. I have had a minute tummy tuck and lipo if the flanks 2 years ago, I had drains, they are so scary. I'm grateful I wont be getting them again. But I also find it odd, that were just supposed to drain nasty liquids for days into the garment? I will be buying an extra so I can wash it. I find my self not wanting to tell many people. I feel very judged...but it's my body, and my money.....so?

Oh I know the feeling I didn’t tell anyone about my surgery. The only that knew was my fiancé. I told them yesterday when it was done with and I was home.

Hi @Danak813 I’m doing good today. For a few days I was really tired. I went to my 2nd post op yesterday and my hemoglobin was down so that explains it. She said take the iron 3 times a day and eat protein. So yesterday I already started doing that and I started feeling much much better. I stopped taking pain meds about 4 days ago. I don’t have any pain at all. I have done 2 massages and the girls says I barely have any fluid left. I didn’t get any drains put in. The massages were not really painful for me at least. I started sitting on my bbl pillow. And finding creative ways to lay for a bit on my back. i do have pictures but can I upload them here or just through a review?
February 17, 2019
Oh that's great, glad to hear your doing well! Yea upload them here so I can see!!

I can’t believe I’m done. This whole experience has been very scary and exciting, I thank his staff for always being so kind to me. Dr Mendieta himself is so upbeat and kind. At the your pre op The staff will take your before pics and when he comes in he will kinda photoshop your body to give you an example of what your after my look like. Recover is tough but I think we all know it’s not going to be a walk in the park. Advice, the more you lay down the more stiff you’ll be. Try to get up and walk. Massages are also a must, helps you drain all the liquid you have to get out. Dr. Leaves drains in at least 7-10 days. It all depends on how much liquid you are retaining.

Thanks for your update and recovery tips too!

January 15, 2019
Yay! Glad you made it through to the other side! How did you feel waking up from the surgery? I have heard some people are in a lot of pain and others are fine until the next day when the anesthesia wears off. Did they give you multiple drains? Also I noticed in your photo you had the supplies bag sold by Dr. Mendieta, where you required to pirchase that or did they recommend it? Since I plan on bringing down all my own supplies but I do intend on buying an extra Faja from them.
January 15, 2019
Thank you, that was my biggest fear. I woke up in pain but not cold like everyone else. As soon as I got home I took an oxy pill and had some cbd gummies. Once they all kicked in I was good. Day two was the tough day I was just excessively sore and tired. The supplies bag was given to me by staff with my preop and post op paperwork as well as the garment (it was included) if you want to purchase another one it’s 150. At your post op appt they will provide you with a triangle. Their recovery faja is amazing very comfortable no zipper no clips noting just low compression. (Brand Marena) I have two drains put in.

I’m so happy that everything went smooth for you. It makes me feel a little less nervous about my surgery on 2/9. I have my pre op on 1/30. I didn’t know they leave drains. I thought that was just for tummy tucks. Are you getting massages through them? I live locally so I guess at the pre op they will tell me about the massages and faja
January 16, 2019
Yes drains are in unfortunately and fortunately. Yes getting massages but with coraito. She can come to you or you can go to her she works out of CG Cosmetic Surgery. they say the ones at his office are way too intense.
User Avatar
January 17, 2019
Oh wow. Yes I’ve heard those massages can been painful. Do you have a lot of fluid? Not looking forward to the drains and how is your pain now since it’s been a few days?
January 18, 2019
Thankfully no, drains help drain you as well as the massages. The massage therapist said I no longer need drainage massages. But said to continue my post op massages once I get home which aren’t the same drainage massages. I’m doing very good actually just ready I get the drains removed. I still get a bit lightheaded when I remove my garment and there’s a spot on my abdomen that burns when I stretch a certain way due to nerve that’s trying to heal from lipo
January 28, 2019
How is your recovery coming along?
January 29, 2019
I’m 2 weeks post op and while I feel I little normal, my skin is still sore and numb (lipo area) my behind is very itchy. Other than that, i doing well and can wait to be completely healed.
January 30, 2019
That’s great to hear. How many days post op were you when you had your drains removed? I’m hoping that they remove mine while I’m still in Miami. I have heard some go home with them because they had there drains longer more than a week. When were you able to walk around normally or for more than a few minutes? I’m concerned about standing for hours when I go back to work after a little over 2 weeks post op.
January 30, 2019
My drains were removed at 6 days post op. My second post op appt. The little containers need to have 25 or less of fluid each. If you get massages and walk it can help tremendously. Advice, eat and take your iron to help from having you faint. When they removed my drains I almost fainted. It burned a bit for me. The nurse said one of my drains got stuck. I went back I work after 2 weeks post op and you do tend to get tired and out of breath. I’m constantly leaning on furniture. I don’t know how people go to work a week after. My energy and interest was low. Yes I was, keep moving and stretch a bit to keep you from getting stiff.

So glad your doing so good. I’m one week out from my surgery now and super excited and so nervous at the same time. I went for my pre op yesterday at Dr Mendietas office and everyone is so nice. I also did my blood work yesterday. Now all i have to do is buy my supplies and medication. I can’t wait. I also included ab etching in my surgery. How many massages did you need after surgery?
January 31, 2019
So exciting!!! I only received 4 but try to get as many as you can. They really are amazing. Try his coffee/tea machine!

How are you doing with your recovery? I’m only a few days away from my surgery and I’m so nervous. But I do want to get it over with already. I purchased my supplies already and getting my meds today. I ordered a pregnancy floaty to sss if it helps with the sleeping situation. I saw a review here and someone had it and they said it works great for sleeping and staying of the booty. Anything will help I guess and I’m trying to stay off the booty as much as possible.
