As I near my 1 week post op, tomorrow, I'd like to give my honest review of my overall experience thus far with Elite Plastic Surgery (EPS). Starting with the front desk receptionist, Nicole, she was the sweetest. I was really nervous when I arrived surgery day ; d/t COVID family and friends weren't allowed to wait with you at the time, so that was really hard, as it was my first procedure. Nicole took me to the back within 3 min, just so I didn't have the jitters from waiting alone. I appreciated that! Onto the nurses who prep me, they were pretty swift and moved quick, so honestly I barely got a personal interaction with them, as I can't even tell you their names. However, once I got to the infamous "preop" room where Dr. Salama examines, all my nerves went away. There was a tv with Netflix that the nurse told me I would be able to watch what ever I please and blankets of course as it was cold in the OR waiting. When Dr. Salama came in to assess me , my nerves were almost immediately gone. He was very personable with me! He asked where I was from, and we had a bit in common from that and the rest was history. He went through everything to watch out for post-op as he marked me up. There wasn't a question that hadn't been answered by the time he left out the room. He asked me my goals and also told me he liked that I thought realistically when it came to those goals. After Dr. Salama, there was Sergio, the CRNA. He was also very sweet and passionate about what he does. He went over my history and made a funny joke "You're boring like me", when it came to my 0 history..lol I was scared about anesthesia, but he too made those nerves go away. In the end, I'm very happy with my choice! I chose Dr. Salama because of his bedside manner, skills, and educational /work history...and he exceeded my expectations. The facility itself is so appealing and clean! As of today, I'm on my second massage with Waly, and of course she's the best. EPS does a great job of showcasing their employees on their instagram platform, so that when I got there I felt like I knew them already, especially Waly. She's enthusiastic and shows that she's competent when giving massages. The pain is one thing, but again, she was personable so it makes a difference in your experience when people are kind and friendly. Last but not least, the recovery process is one I'll keep separate from this review. I will say the only flaw I saw was lack of communication with the PACU nurse could've been a little better, as the are the first you see when waking up. My friend who was picking me up and my mother back home was waiting for an update, as I had went over the time I told my family. Other than that I'd rate my experience an 8 out of 10. It's been a journey just in these 6-7 days, but EPS was my home away from home. Thank you to those wonderful staff members that took care of me!
