I Cancelled my BBL with Clinic Hub - March 2019
So before you panic Ladies, please don’t let the word CANCELLED put you off!
Although I’m now no longer going ahead with my procedure (for now) it was booked for March 12th 2019 which is literally next week! I have had really lovely interaction with my Patient Coordinator so far (very quick responses, help with finding flights, sending my iterniary etc). I can’t comment on any what the surgeons are like or treatment received at Clinic Hub because I’m not going anymore.
The only slight negative I will say not all my medical questions where answered as fully as I would have liked and I didn’t get a chance to speak with my Surgeon directly but with the general stuff - I got very fast responses from my Patient Coordinator and I was happy with that. Also I had to chase up on my initial enquiry a couple of times, but I that Clinic Hub are extremely busy now (especially with influencers and their good reviews and very reasonable price).
So anyway back to why I decided to change my mind! I’m a mother of 1 and I lost my naturally curvy hourglass shape due to pregnancy (wish I could have snapped back how these instagram Mums do lol) so after losing the majority of my pregnancy weight I decided to look into a BBL, as in all honesty I just wanted to restore what I’ve always naturally had pre pregnancy. I didn’t want any crazy Nicki Minaj Bum!
However on doing my research (after I paid my deposit - which was a little silly but it was only just under £300 - so I didn’t mind losing that. Although you don’t get a refund if your money Clinic Hub will allow you to change your date of surgery if needs be) into the recovery of this procedure, I decided that I had not actually tried enough non evasive procedures first before putting my body through such a trauma and a long recovery 3 months to 6 months to a 1 year (for some people). With a young child to look after on my return from Turkey, I knew the recovery would be tough. So although I was looking forward to a little bit of restoration of my hips and getting rid of my Mum tum and my back roll I decided that the look I was going for was not dramatic enough to not try some other stuff first.
Also probably the biggest decision in my change of heart was a massage lady who I contacted to do my lympathic massages on my return to the UK - she asked if had any children and if I was planning to have any more. When I said yes I had one and would hopefully want more in the not so distant future she advised me to wait before doing a BBL and have all my children first. And now I think about it, it makes sense (well to me).
In reality I guess my post is more directed at mothers who have recently had kids (of course I’m not discouraging you - if you’ve finished all your kids or even if you haven’t do you boo / snatch that waist - hopefully I’ll be joining you in a few years lol) but I just wanted to encourage others to maybe think of other options if the results you desire aren’t so drastic.
I think as I do have quite wide hips and big bum already (although I would love it smooth it all out) in my opinion going down the non surgical is an option for me. But if you have a straight figure then no amount of non evasive procedures will give you that hour glass shape that a BBL will.
So I’m going to document my 6 month journey wno BBL with non evasive procedures and see whether I can get a little bit closer to what will make me happier with my body for the next couple of years, until I’m done with babies! Lol! I’m doing 6 months as that’s how long they say it takes for you to fully recover from a BBL should there be no complications.
And although money for my BBL was never an issue - I’m going to document the cost of my procedures.
I’m going to do monthly updates - as with non evasive procedures the results are often less dramatic. So no point just uploading too much.
So this week I’m starting off with 8 Lipofirm fortnightly sessions on my Stomach and Flanks which will cost £540.00
In 2 couple of weeks I’m starting 10 PT sessions for £300.00.
I’ll post some before and after (in April) so far - I’ll call it No Op Month 1 lol instead of Post Op.
As I said I’m all for looking good and doing whatever makes you happy and gives you confidence and if that’s a BBL go for it Ladies! Just for me personally (especially as a new Mum - as with any surgery there can always be a risk) I thought I’d try something else first and if still not luck then after baby 2 and ( maybe 3 lol) maybe I’ll be back Clinic Hub snatching my waist.
Hopefully you’ll find my journey useful x
