Beware: DO NOT GO HERE! Lux Cosmetic Surgery at 3510 Coral Way Miami, Fl

I am here in Miami, my surgery was set for tomorrow morning. It originally was suppose to be yesterday. I set my appointment early March. I sent my deposit. I read all the horror stories about people coming to appointments to find out there wasn’t any set. Every time I called I talked to someone. I expressed my concerns of the stories I heard. They insured me that wouldn’t be my issue there. I asked Ivanna in the beginning if there was any reason you guys wouldn’t be able to do the surgery (lab work, health, or any reason you all have to cancel) will I get my deposit back, she said yes of course. The next day I called her to ask a question, she said I no longer work there, you have to call the office. I then called and talked to Jazmine. I asked Jazmine the same questions, I received the same answers. Patricia called me to go over some things with me, here’s where the problem starts. She’s telling me I have to have this and that, things that cost. I told her I have purchased most of what I need. I called one day to ask do they have a special because I keep receiving emails from another surgery center there with great deals. She told me she would talk to her manager. I never got a call back. Now when I call I can barely get her to answer so I go back to calling Jazmine to get my questions answered. Patricia tells me she’s the coordinator Jazmine can’t give you those answers. One day I was calling to ask a important question, no answer. I even called the front desk, they said she was with a patient. The next day I tried her cell phone again, no answer. I sent her a text expressing my anger and I could take my business else where! Immediately I get a call from her. She said she’s sorry, she was out for the last three days because she had the flu. Hmmm! I said but yesterday the lady at the front said you were with a patient. It goes on for awhile but I’m so excited for my surgery I give them the benefit of the doubt plus I ask every question I can think of. I express all my concerns. I get my labs, EKG, get consent from my primary doctor. In the time frame they asked, I might add. I keep calling to make sure they have it. They got it the next day after everything was done but didn’t tell me until the Thursday before I was suppose to be there (Tuesday) that my EKG was abnormal and called me back on Friday to tell me I needed to see my Cardiologist for his clearance and I have to have my surgery done in a hospital instead of the surgery center. I was disappointed because this was so last minute and it was going to cost a additional $3500 for the hospital. Ok, but better safe than sorry. And they change my doctor. I even got in to see the cardiologist on Monday and got the clearance. Faxed it right over. I asked them several times was everything good, did they need anything else because I was coming on Tuesday, they said no we’re all set. When I got here Tuesday, not even a hour later, a little after 4, I get a called from Patricia saying they needed something else. I said I’m here already, really? She asked ‘you’re here in Miami?’ I got on the phone and got my doctors to send everything, found a facility to get another chest X-ray. I started early Wednesday morning and got them everything. She threatened to cancel the surgery if I didn’t have it by the end of the day. This morning as I was getting ready for pre-op with them she called me saying the paper she received from the doctor needed a stamp with his signature and I’d number. Now all of that was on the paper. So my doctor’s office got that to them, EARLY. She told me the hospital said if they didn’t get this before 1:00 they were going to cancel the surgery. They got it before 9. I text her and told her I was in my way there. When my husband and I got there, she said they needed to send something else. By this time the whole doctor’s office is as aggravated as I am. And they expressed it. But still sent it over. It’s a little after 11 and we’re now waiting on the hospital to say they have it. She told us to go to lunch and come back to start the pre op. You will not believe Patricia called me and said the HOSPITAL canceled my surgery! Because now they need my medical history from the time I started seeing that doctor until now, AND I have to go see him so he can give me a clearance. At this moment my doctor’s nurse calls on the other line to make sure they have everything. I connected her so she can hear what Patricia was saying. The nurse said this is ridiculous because she came in for a clearance, we sent you the paperwork from that visit as you requested and everything else you asked for. I can even fax you the medical records but if I was you (talking to me) I would find me someone else. These people are a trip. I told Patricia I was coming to get my deposit back, she said ok. My husband went up to get it. I called another doctor who said they can do it. So I called the finance company to see how to change from them to the other one TO BE TOLD THESE CROOKS REQUESTED THE MONEY TODAY! The day before my surgery! They told them I had my procedure done today! They were stringing me along until today to get the money from the finance company. The finance company called and spoke to them, they said they will refund it BUT not all of it. The lady then asked why not, you never did pre op or the procedure, right? They said no but there are doctor charges. What charges?? My doctors done all the work!!! I know this is a long review/comment but I have to put them on blast! I am so hurt, disappointed and angry! I have cried so much since of of this. I’ve never been in a situation like this! I think I will call the news station tomorrow and tell them how fraudulent these folks are. But best believe this is not over! I will not let them get away with this!
