bbl with Dr. Azizi - I'm so excited!

Virtual Consultation today with Dr. Azizi. I'm so excited! I'll update on how it goes. But here is my list of questions for the consultation...Consultation questions:- Surgeon info ?1. Are you board certified by the AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY?2. Do you perform the surgery in clinic or hospital? Do you have hospital privileges?3. Approximately, how many BBLs have you performed throughout your career?- Aesthetics/benefits:1. Where do you place the incisions?2. Are my goals realistic/achievable?3. Does the liposuctioned area develop scars? What would that look/feel like?4. It is VERY important to me to have a nice smooth stomach (no bumps/lumps as a result of irregular lipo), what do you suggest we do to ensure that? Any specific techniques in mind ? What is your plan if my stomach turns out not smooth?5. Where exactly do you inject the fat? Above the muscle under skin or inside the muscle? How much fat are you comfortable injecting safely?6. Cellulite I have some. Will it go away or gets worse? Can you make it go away? Give me some of your Azizi super powers ;)7. What areas do you recommend to liposuction? I don’t like my fat arms, cankles, and inner thighs. You get to pick what you want to target!- Risks/concerns:1. What is my risk of fat embolism? Did it ever happen with any of your patients? What is your plan if it happens to me? What measures do you take to prevent it?2. Tell me about necrosis and/or burns in the liposuctioned area? Likelihood of it and plan in case it happens? Has it ever happened to your patients? What did u do afterward ? What causes it in general and how do you prevent it?3. What is my risk of infection? What happens if I get one?4. What is the rate of infection at your practice? Specifically for BBL?5. What are the risks of this surgery (especially ones that am at higher risk of having based on your evaluation)?6. Anything else you think I should be aware of?

I finally met with dr azizi. I asked for a FaceTime call instead of a regular call. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease about this decision. I had worries that he kinda informed me about the truth of it and it helped me understand that it shouldn’t be a worry. I’ve always trusted my gut feeling and I finally found my doctor after a year searching for one. He is really caring and didn’t treat me like I’m just another patient on his schedule. I’m so excited! We discussed my goals for the surgery and he explained that they are achievable and realistic. I’m over the moon that this is finally happening. He will be doing a skinny bbl on me which he said he’ll include my ( abdomen, flanks, back and inner thighs to get enough fat) I requested that he also uses fat from my arms and possibly calves. I’m scared because I’m basically having lipo EVERYWHERE on my body and i only weigh 135-140 . I’m worried the pain will be too much.
My surgery is in jan 2021. I asked to be on the waitlist for cancellation to move my surgery date up . My husband is going to be out of the country around January so it’ll be tough trying to find someone to accompany me.

Omg I’m so excited. An Azizi doll switched dates with me and I’m going to have my surgery on November 17!!
I can’t believe I’m getting in so soon I’m really excited. I did my bloodwork and ekg already. I also booked the flights to Chicago and will book the hotel stay tomorrow. I think I’ll be staying at the Palomer (kimpton) . If u have any suggestions on where to stay please comment! Also, If you have a list of bbl recovery must haves or recommendations please copy and paste it here. I’m last minute shopping I feel like.
I’m gonna have my booty before thanksgiving and before Christmas!!!
I’m also really nervous because this is becoming so real ! I mean, I knew i was planning on getting this surgery but I keep thinking, what if I don’t wake up? What if something goes wrong? . On the other hand, I know that I chose a good doctor and he assured me that he’ll take good care of me.
