3 weeks post op, My experience so far...

I am 3 weeks post op! I have had quite a journey!
Surgery was on September 15! I was there at 7 am and my surgery started a little after 9 am. It was my first time ever to go under General anesthesia! I had to go in by myself because of this whole pandemic, no support people were allowed. The PACU nurse her name was Mayra, she was great! She was my nurse through the whole process. They did a pregnancy test right before the surgery, started my IV and then Dr. HSU came in and marked me up for the surgery. Dr. Roberts was the anesthesiologist and she was also really friendly and made me feel that I was in great hands. After talking to both doctors we walked into the OR right across from the PACU holding area and the nurse scrubbed me down with Chlorohexidine soap. This was the scariest part because it gets real at that point... I was laying down and I figured the anesthesiologist would have me count backwards or something but all of a sudden I was asleep and in a blink of an eye.... I was awake and the nurse told me we are done.... It happens like that !! So quick...
When I woke up I was not in pain, I was nice and calm but I was lying on my butt. They did warn me that this would be the case. I was wearing the compression garment. I was in the PACU, no idea what time it was. I did stay overnight and they did not keep me in the PACU for very long I have a follow up appointment tomorrow and I am still unsure how long I was under. I will try to remember and ask tomorrow. ...

Bbl and Tummy Tuck in 3 Weeks

I have a BBl scheduled in 3 weeks. So far my experience has been great. I had my consultation July 23. And I am scheduled to have my surgery in 3 weeks mid September.
It took almost 4 months to get an initial consultation and when I scheduled my procedure they told me that the next available date was in March 2021! Yes, that's how far out the next surgery day was.
Luckily for me, there was an opening (maybe cancellation) and they were able to fit me in. I had my finances in place and I do not have any medical conditions.
I went to my pre-op appointment today and signed all the paperwork. The medical assistance went through all the details and answered all my questions. Took her time and I did not feel rushed. I was a little disappointed that I was unable to see the doctor today. I assumed that I would get to talk to him today. However, I did get an appointment for Thursday to talk to Dr. Hsu about doing my arms.
I am really excited and also a little scared. I am worried about possible complications (PE, DVT, Fat emboli, Infection, etc...) which are uncommon but I am a nurse and these are the kinda things you worry about.
I get one shot at this! I am confident that I will have great results. Ill keep y'all posted!
