Update - 2 weeks
He did a really good job at scooping my back and making me way less square. I know I wasn't easy to work with because my before was very flat as well as my skin being very tight. Also I love that I'm not nearly as flat while still looking natural! My butt shrank a lot in the two weeks, which I knew was going to happen. I just hope it's mostly done shrinking! I am back to functioning normal, except for not sitting and laying on my back. I didn't realize that I was really going to be in the foams 24/7, so with all that under my clothes I look fatter than when I did before, so it kind of plays tricks with your mind. But I have to remember I have foams and a garment on! It's weird not being able to see your results except for when you get in the shower. With that being said, I can't wait to be done with my foams!!!!

ORIGINAL POST
BBL with Schulman 8/20/19
I thought I would write a review because it was so helpful for me during my journey pre-op. I originally was supposed to go to another surgeon, but my heart was telling me to go to Dr. Schulman still. I am so glad I listed to my gut instinct. It’s only a week post op, but the difference is tremendous. I am one of his bigger BBL patients with a BMI of 30 with a good amount of donor fat along with my height being 5’9”. I wanted a BBL because I was always curvy.. But only in the front. I needed the back to be curvy too lol.
Everything fell into place from the consultation, to booking, to the surgery. I had my consult and surgery within a little other a month or each other. With my consult being on July 12th booking the same day for August 20th. I was able to do it so soon because like I said I was supposed to go somewhere else, and also I have been wanting this for years. They were very flexible with my schedule (considering there wasn’t much time to work with either).
I was so nervous about going into surgery since I never have before, but they made it really easy. The anesthesiologist was super nice and made me feel really comfortable!! I had a drain since 5 liters of fat was taken out. When I woke up the nurse said 1100 CC was put into each cheek, but I forgot to confirm that at my post op appointment because I honestly don’t really care, I just care that it looks good. I woke up feeling fine, waking up with a hangover is worse. I also have been lucky I have had no itching, little bruising (I think it’s because of the arnica they have you take 3 days before), and I was able to move around pretty well and didn’t have to use a lot of pain killer. The only thing that really was tough was not being allowed to shower because the smell is real!!!
I got to finally take my garment off and see my results in office at the post op appointment which was a week later (which was with Caitlin (who is the best btw!!). I couldn’t believe I was seeing myself in the mirror, it looked too good to be me. My butt looks very natural. Of course I would like for it to be bigger, but that’s me being greedy and unrealistic because my backside was literally inverted before this. I think my new butt fits me very well and also for my profession, it’s perfect that it looks natural. It's hard to admire it since I am stuck in the stage 1 garment for 3 weeks with foams, but the little time I get to see it I am in awe.
I will post before and after pics as soon as I’m done healing, but feel free to inbox me with any questions because I know I had a lot. I would be happy to help.

Wow! Thank u so much for sharing your bbl experience with dr shulman! I have been contemplating going to see him versus another surgeon but I am leaning towards him even tough his prices r higher because I keep seeing great reviews from patients like u. Do you have before and after photos? Also when can you sit on your butt normally again? How much time did you have to take off from work? Thanks again for ur story!!
I will posts the pics when I am healed. You can sit normally after 6 weeks, and I am going back to work exactly 2 weeks post op (which is now). I feel totally normal, except that I can't sit and I still have a little stiffness/soreness
Hi! Do you have pics? I wish I followed my guts to go to Dr. S. I changed my mind last minute and went to other PS. Now I need a revision.
Yes I will post them when I am healed
Dr. Shulman is performing my BBL and I’m soooo nervous. Nervous about going to sleep and the pain after. How bad was your pain after and how long?
The sleep is the best sleep I've ever gotten lol. My pain was not bad at all I was moving around just fine day 2. I have a high pain tolerance. It was the not showering thing that was horrible.
wow so helpful !! I have my bbl appointment the 23rd of march and I am beyond excited yet a tiny bit scared !!!! did you purchase the bbl kit? what did it include other than the pillow..?
