I had my procedure 8 days ago and I am so glad that I went through with it! I nearly let my nerves and doubts get the better of me, but it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I had 1700cc of fat removed from my back and flanks. 500cc was injected into each cheek.
The procedure itself was uncomfortable but for me almost painless, other than a few occasions here and there. I do have a high tolerance for pain but was honestly so shocked at how well I coped being awake the whole time. It also seemed much quicker than 5 hours.
The clinic is clean and the staff are great. I was the only patient that day so I felt all my needs were attended to and I was constantly checked on.
I had my sister with me for the whole day and was able to go home after a couple of hours of recovery.
I found the first couple of days of recovery the easiest, although I looked so swollen and bruised. The past few days have been more uncomfortable, though I appear to be healing very well.

Did you choose local Anesthesia? You are one of the first that I heard. Where you nervous being slightly awake and knowing they were doing that to you body?

I did lots of research and chose local anesthesia as it's much cheaper. It does mean 2 procedures would be needed if you want 360⁰ lipo though as it's too much to take in one go whilst awake.
I however have noticed an improvement on my tummy without having any lipo there at all so may not have round 2.
I was extremely nervous knowing I would be awake but was given a sedation type tablet and injection which really calmed me down. Dr Alshafey, his nurse Alicja and the other doctor are very reassuring, even holding my hand at one point. You are kept informed of the whole process and I was even asked if I needed to take a break.
All that being said, I am not squeamish at all and it is certainly not the best option if you have a weak stomach!

Thank you! I wear my faja 12 hours a day and started sitting with my pillow on the 8th day but only for 20minutes for the school run. I still sleep on my stomach and stand to eat!

What type of pillow are you sitting on? I’m three weeks out and still not sitting yet. I have some really really soft pillows but my doctor told me to wait two more weeks. My results are great I haven’t lost much volume at all and things are settling

I bought this pillow from Ebay.
I also use it under my waist to lay on my side. I would recommend stacking 2 of these for extra comfort, but still so much cheaper than a bbl pillow

Have you noticed much volume loss? I go back to work on Tuesday the 14th and thigh pillow is not very comfortable. I sit at a desk all day. Good thing is I have my own office
