My BBL journey

Hello my RealSelf family, hope you all are doing great? It’s really been a long time but am here now. I have been so busy with work and family since we are all home cos of Covid. Anyways, I am still so thrilled with my results cos my butt looks well defined, I got a waistline and hips too but I would have loved a wider hip but I didn’t have so much fat to begin with. My recovery wasn’t easy cos bbl is no joke though I have no complications and am so thankful to God for that. The top of my butt and my hips is still sensitive to touch and I can’t sleep on my back for long, as for my hips, I totally avoid sleeping on it so am still sleeping on my stomach which am now used to. My upper butt is still hard but not as after surgery, I still have swelling especially end of day but am swell free in the morning.The only downside to my surgery is gaining weight. I was weighing 68kg but as I prepared for surgery, I came up to 72 then 74 2 months prior to surgery, I was so excited cos I have never in my life packed so much weight but unfortunately almost all the fat is gone. I now weigh between 71 and 70kg which I am not happy about but I still like my new contoured body. I love how clothes fit on me now. I have changed my wardrobe cos almost all my clothes don’t fit especially all my bottom outfits and dresses that doesn’t stretch so much or short cos they ride up and became shorter and also I had to reduce the waist of my dresses and skirts cos they are lose.I will like to go for Round 2 for more hips but I won’t be gaining weight cos I will end up losing it. I still have some fat in my upper back and thighs and I could add my arms too. Fingers crossed . Here are some pictures.

It’s been long since I updated. Covid, lockdown, kids studying online and working from home happened to me and I know to so many mums too but it’s not an easy task. So about my recovery, everything has been going so well. It’s been a long process but am happy how things are progressing. I have no fibrosis. Soreness is reducing but I feel it on my flanks and back when I touch it. I still do self massages, still wear faja but for 16 hours for 4 weeks now. I still use my ab board. My is 26 and hips 42.5. Am very happy with my results. Although I wanted more hips but compared to where I was before, I am very pleased. My butt is very perfect for me so no complains there. The only downside to my bbl is butt hair. I never had hair on my butt but now it’s so much and I don’t know how to address it. Anyways, I am very pleased with my results.

I feel like it has taken 9 years to get here cos time is crawling especially with this covid-19 pandemic that has kept us at home. If I was going to work, I wouldn’t have taken notice of time but doing nothing is traumatizing. Any ways, I am in a better place with my healing now, no more soreness but am still battling with swelling especially on my flanks and lower tummy. I can do everything now but I haven’t started sitting though my doctor said I could sit at 8 week but I decided to push it further till I can’t take it anymore. Sleeping on my stomach is now very natural to me. I still wear my faja 23/7. I stopped using my foams on the sides and back but still use it on my tummy. Am looking forward to week 12 so that I will see what I will be left with. I truly love my results.
