Almost six weeks post op

Hello everyone,
I officially started running again with my doctors approval. I ran 3 miles this morning and felt great. (Wore my faja without an board to run).
My skin is loose as expected and nipples are not exactly perfect, but I am happy with my overall transformation. My stomach feels so flat!! Dresses look amazing!! I like lingerie again!
I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing your faja and abdominal board AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE during the first 6 weeks.
I will update again after a few weeks of working out. I was very active before and had to take off six weeks for surgery, so I think I will look even better after getting back in the gym. Let me know if you have questions!

Hi there, you look great. May I ask what the doctor said to you with regards to the shape of your one areolas? They looked even while taped. What might have happened? Thank you for sharing. It is truly important for the community who are looking for info to help them decide if this is something for them and who to choose.
Hello! I am very glad to be able to help others. In regards to your question: I did not ask him about the areola shape and what may have caused them to become crooked. I was very happy with the overall improvement and realize there is nothing to be done to fix the areola at this point so I “let it go”. I am not sure if they were straight while taped since they were in fact covered. It is my guess that they were not perfect from the beginning.
I'm so happy for you!!! Your results look fantastic! How many massages did you get?
Thank you! I had 10 massages total.
Quick question how are the scars of your lift looking?
They look pretty damn good. The horizontal incision on the underside is definitely more noticeable than the vertical scars beneath the nipple. I will do a post with pics tomorrow.
That's good to know... I am going in January with Dr. Mejia. My main concern is the scarring. Did you also do a reduction of areola or no? Another question (sorry if I ask too much) how did your Bbl recover. I thought you weren't supposed to stay seated for long periods of time after the procedure. But then you can lay down d/t the breast as. Did you happen to meet anyone while you were there who had the tummy tuck? I'm debating if I should get one or not. I don't have access skin my problem are my stretch marks.
Hi, sharyn. I’m glad to answer your questions. I did have an areolar reduction. The scarring is not too bad. I will post updated pictures this afternoon. Please see my recent ones. The amount of scarring depends on your skin type. According to Dr. Mejia, I am fair-skinned and so have less problems with scarring than darker skinned women. You will have some scarring with a breast lift, that is unavoidable. I laid on my back from the very beginning. I positioned myself on pillows to reduce pressure on my buttocks for the first six weeks (see earlier posts). I could not lie any other way because of the lift and implants. I tried on my side but it was too painful on my new implants. My bbl results in the butt area have not been drastic, but along with the lipo on the waist I have a much nicer shape. Even with lying and sitting on my butt during recovery my butt is fuller and more jiggly. I did not meet anyone who had a tummy tuck, however I did consider it myself. A tummy tuck will not fix stretch marks unless the stretch marks are in the area of the abdomen that will be “tucked”...(the area that is cut away before being sewn). That is my understanding of the tummy tuck. It is a much more invasive procedure with a more difficult recovery than lipo/bbl. If you do not have excess skin, you really don’t need a tummy tuck. Unless, like I mentioned, your stretch marks are primarily on the lower part of your belly (a couple inches beneath you belly button). I think you will be happy with lipo alone. Unfortunately for us ladies with stretch marks, options are limited. But I felt very very happy with my procedure and felt there was some improvement in my abdominal stretch marks from the lipo.
Thank you so much for all of the information. Everything you said will definitely help me. I know in Colombia they also can camouflage the stretch marks by tattooing them with the same color skin tone.
You look amazing!! He did Great.
Can you please share what abdominal board and faja you purchased? I searched on amazon but I don't know which one to choose.
Or did you end up buying them from Dr Mejia?
I ordered it on amazon. It’s $24.98 by Fajas MyD and it’s called “0104 Liposuction Board Liposuction Compression Garment Tabla Abdominal”. It’s excellent and I highly recommend.

Recovery Day 6 & undergarments

I have been taking the Lyrica for nerve pain and hydrocodone in the mornings to get through the lymph massages. They are painful and so necessary. After that, I feel great! I do not need the pain meds during the afternoon as I walk around town. Sleeping is not comfortable but I am tired and fall asleep fine after taking the hydrocodone and watching a movie.
I have been able to experience Medellín while recovering. The faja and ab board are definitely not comfortable, but they do not limit me from visiting museums, parks, taking cabs or anything else!
I put bio oil on my skin then my faja and ab board. A long skirt is perfect for waking around with a loose fitting shirt on top. See pics
I am very bruised but I’d rank my pain throughout the day as a steady 4/10.... not bad. It is the worst at night when I get in bed.
The second faja was very tight at first but feels much better today, the second day. Let me know if you have questions. :)

Hey! Did you go get lymphatic massages or give them to yourself? You look amazing :)
Thank you :)! A masseuse named Mary Luz did my lymph massages. I was referred to her by the doctor. She came to my air bnb once everyday for 10 days. The total cost for he ten massages was $170 USD. I paid her each time she came. They are absolutely necessary, but hurt a bit. I take a pain pill an hour before. Best of luck!!
Wow!!! Incredible! Thanks for sharing your journey
How many days after your surgery do you plan to stay in Colombia?
I just arrived home. I stayed for 12 days following surgery. It was a perfect amount of time for me.
Thanks. I am not sure if I can take off that long. How many days after surgery do you think you would have been able to travel ?
Hi! How are you doing now? Do you have some more recent pictures? I am planning a bbl with dr mejia :)

Recovery Day 5

Hola! I decided to post more after all. I am feeling so great this morning. I popped out of bed, washed dishes, did laundry, cut up fruit, took out trash, did a face mask, and my husband is still asleep.

I started wearing an abdominal board yesterday with Dr. Mejia’s suggestion and it is helping a lot to flatten the skin to my abdominal wall. I am LOVING my new figure so far.

A lot of nerve pain in my back from the Vaser Lipo when I get up and down in bed but otherwise I feel really good. I am going to stop taking pain medication today and see how it goes.

My butt is not drastically bigger but has a much, much nicer shape than before. I am hoping it will retain this shape for lasting results. I am not able to sleep without SOME pressure on my buttocks. I have been rolling a blanket like a burrito and bending it into a u-shape as a diy boppy pillow with my head elevated.

My breasts are still swollen, but paired with my slimmer waist I really feel like I look amazing. Surgery is an art! I am glad I chose Dr. Mejia.

Some things that have really helped me so far during recovery:
-Ice for breasts!!
-candles and lavender essential oil for relaxation
-lots of pillows provided by the air bnb
- variety of fruit and protein powder for smoothies
-Maxi pads for sacral incision
-Chux pads for preventing leakage on bed!
-large panties to hold it all together
-headphones to listen to music every morning when I get up....awesome mood booster!!
-Dr. Bronner’s arnica balm- I like to put it on my face it’s so refreshing and helps energize me
-Preparation! Patience! Maintaining good health and hygiene!

You guys I feel great and had major surgery less than 5 days ago!!
