Had BBL with Elite in March 2017, Not Happy Possible Revision with Comfort Zone
I have been meaning to do a review for a while but never got round to it, but as I'm now looking in to my BBL revision and also looking up reviews I feel like I may as well too.
I had BBL in March 2017 by Dr Ali Uckan at Elite in Turkey. Prior to this, I was a naturally slim girl and I used to smash the gym and love my body naturally but then after working abroad all summer drinking and eating bad I had gotten a bit out of shape and wanted my old body and bum back from my weight lifting days. I was the sort to carry it on my belly and mostly love handles. Dr told me I was a slim patient and wouldn't have a huge bum but I didn't want one really the wish pics I sent him were mainly of the hip projection. I paid for the package where they take from midsection only. However, I feel like if when I get there the surgeon thinks I won't have much fat on me he should take it from other areas too. Because he only took it from my lower back (so mid section) I can tell the point where he obviously stops the lipo on my back. I feel like they should of just got the rest of the fat whilst they were there.
I'd had a boob job before so knew the pain etc but omg when I came round I felt like I'd died it was awful. I was shivering so bad, I knew to expect this (only from reading reviews on here, not from doctor etc) I literally felt like death. My recovery was bad, I couldn't walk properly for days and for me this lasted all week.
One major thing I will say about elite is I loved their villa, the nurses and the food. I know since then they have expanded but when I went I think there was just one villa. Fridge was always stocked up with juices, cans of pop, treats etc. The chef made good food, pancakes on a morning etc. The nurses were so nice and attentive! Even though the nurses were always around I am so glad my boyfriend was there with me I really needed someone there that I could rely on.
I had a rough few days, I couldn't shower for I think the first 2. When I could shower I kept nearly fainting as I tried to take off my garment. I'm not sure why. When I got it off the look of my belly scared me. LIPO BELLY IS A REAL THING. that I wish I knew about before. I wasn't even fat to begin with so I can imagine some are even worse but you can sometimes tell when people have had lipo/bbl cos their belly has a certain look. The belly button looks weird. Mines ok now but I have irregularities on my belly definitely even years later and this can only look half ok if I keep my body fat percentage really low and train my abs loads. Even then I have weird lines in my belly.
In terms of my results, I did like myself better than before but even as little as 2 month after my surgery I was emailing elite with pictures of my problem areas.
Firstly, my belly I hated. Secondly, I have one love handle thats more prominent than the other, they are reduced but I still feel like more love handle could of been taken. Thirdly, I have a dimple in each bum cheek not cellulite but I've had them all my life. Surgeon asked if I wanted these filling in and I said yes. They weren't filled in (properly) infact I feel like one was more filled in than the other but now they're both there. When I complained to elite they said they cannot fix dimples and the bum is not more susceptible to cellulite as it now has more fat in, which is annoying because I told them before my 2 dimples are not cellulite and even more annoying that the surgeon actually offered these to be filled and now they're saying they can't fix them. I have actually gained a bit of cellulite too since the op because yes like they said, you now have more fat in that area so you need to literally keep it so toned now. Before I had no cellulite, now I have to work at it.
I'm now booking to go with comfort zone for a revision. I'm not going to comment on them yet as I don't know my thoughts, however I did travel all the way to Istanbul in November 2017 for a revision with them and when I got there the surgeon told me I didn't have enough fat and is pointless, even though the coordinator had told me I did, obviously the surgeon had never even seen my pictures/videos before. This rings alarm bells and obviously should put me off, but it's been 2 years now and I don't want to go back to elite, so I'm going to give CF another try. They promise me they will take fat out of anywhere they can, rather than elite who just take it from the area you paid for even if it compromises the results.
I don't have many before pics of my first surgery because I've got a new phone since then but I will try find some.
NOTE TO ANYONE THINKING OF BBL, NO MATTER WHO WITH: something I wish I knew before hand...
1. LIPO BELLY - looks awful for a good few months, make sure to wear compression garments, not sure about massages, I wasn't told to.. you will have to train abs a lot after to keep it tight
2. BE PREPARED TO STAY AT THE SAME WEIGHT - fluctuations in weight really do [RS bleep] the bbl up, lose weight you lose volume in the bum and it goes kind of saggy, if you lost weight before you had the bbl the bum would shrink nicely but after bbl it don't, if you gain weight after the lipo'd areas will gain fat back regardless what they say
3. YOU NEED TO TRAIN HARDER TO MAINTAIN IT - people think surgery or bbl is a fast track to a better body i.e no gym. I think the opposite. Now that I've had bbl I have to train twice as hard to keep my bum looking nice and pert, it's got extra weight now so it needs to keep tight. I need to train my abs more to mask the irregularities of the lipo.
Thank you, any questions just ask x
