After ten years of research, I had a BBL and BA with Dr Salama on 14 December at his Miami clinic.

I chose to fly out to the US for surgery on the back of Dr Salama's incredible reputation, all the reviews I had read of his work and the responsiveness of his team.

The clinic, the team and Dr Salama exceeded my expectations and I felt really cared for and safe throughout. I'm now 2.5 weeks post op and while my results are still settling in (my breasts still need to 'drop' for example) I am very happy with my results. I keep pinching myself as I can't believe this dream I have had for 10 years has finally been realised!

I flew out from the UK with a friend on 10 December after having rescheduled my date multiple times since 2020 due to Covid. First few days were sight seeing, relaxing and getting oriented. We stayed at Beachwalk Resort in Hallandale Beach, one of hotel/airbnbs recommended by Dr Salama, which is 10 mins from the clinic. The resort was fantastic, highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good place to stay when booking in with EPS Miami.

My surgery was initially booked in for 13 December but because of a complication where I had to get blood work taken and cleared (I had taken a plan B two weeks prior) I ended up going into surgery the next day in the evening.

I was released at midnight and my friend picked me up and took me back to the airbnb. The first few days were pretty rough, particularly as I was anaemic after surgery, but I felt a lot better by day 4 and again by day 7, particularly after having post op massages. For me, they did not hurt as much as people say, and I felt 1000 x better after getting them. I had 2 with the clinic and 2 with Judith Laguna, a massage therapist specialising in post op massage who came to ny airbnb who was also incredible.

The most difficult things were trying to eat enough, and taking medication when feeling nauseous. I as given an IV on day 3 to rehydrate me. I was also incredibly swollen but a lot of that resolved by day 4 which is apparently quite common.

Walking also helped, I was lucky the corridors at the airbnb were very long and I'd walk up and down the hallways every 3 hours. You have to keep getting up to walk, even at night.

I had a complication with my skin, a lipo burn, so I was in the clinic everyday after surgery for Oxygen treatment and could not put on my second stage faja. Thankfully Dr Salama, Nomie and Alexis were diligent in treating it and I'm glad to say at 2.5 weeks post op it's almost completely healed.

I'm now back home in the UK and feeling a lot better, although I'm still sore and take percoset at night. Because of the skin complications and not having been able to put on my second stage faja, I still have my drains (front drain and back drain) which are very annoying, but they should come out soon.

My waist is tiny, my hips look amazing. I can't wait to see my final results. I will say I'm still not very mobile, I can't drive, I won't venture further out than the grocery store. Recovery is a long road! But I'm very glad I finally did this, and I know I made the right choice with Dr Salama.
