2 month update
$8,000
I’m at a little more than two months. Not much changed. I still have a little shelf, then flat area, then volume. I also still have the two lumps—one on each cheek. The one on the left looks REALLY bad and seems to jiggle when I walk. (As a reminder, this was there since the day after surgery so i don’t think this is related to my personal healing.) I noticed after taking the pics there is a dent underneath. I actually got kind of depressed after looking at these pics because also, they shape is VERY square. But trying to trust the process. I’m making an appointment for AS SOOOON AS I HIT 6 MONTHS about revision lol. I also still have a seroma. The office told me to add compression but I don’t really see any change yet. I’m going to follow up on Monday.

1 month post op
I’ll b one month post hope in 2 days. This has been a stressful process. After all the post-op complications I now have a seroma, which I know is a standard lipo complication ... but, annoying. The good news is that the office has been very responsive in advising me on the seroma and other post op questions!
My results are still questionable. I know you don’t see full results until 6 months but I read that that’s mostly wit regard to swelling in your lipo areas and that you should at least know what the shape of your butt will look like around 5-6 weeks. Well I’m hoping not because mine is VERY lumpy. It’s like I have a tiny shelf then two very flat spots then these two pointy areas. These were there immediately after surgery and the doc told me to add extra compression there, but no change. I’m really hoping everything smooths/evens out. I’d hate to have to go through all of this again with a revision. On a more positive note, I can tell my woman/back are abt to look amazing. As my scars are MINIMAL. (Excuse the dry skin in pics.)

I do not usually comment here but I have to in this case. I had my surgery with Dr Salama on November 12th so we were very close in timing. I am struggling with the same issues you put in our review. Just thought it may help in talking to someone who is going through the Same thing. And I am referring to your expectations and what you were told versus what you are seeing in your healing process. I have the same exact shape issue where I have a little self, then it goes more flat, and then to the larger lumps. It’s very odd to me, not what I saw in his photos at all from all my research.
Hey girl! Yeah it def does help to talk to someone with the same healing struggles. Let’s keep each other posted.
I reached out to an IG influencer who also went to him and she really encouraged me to “trust the process”. (She ha my ideal results.) And she has a good point. There’s no point in stressing when he’s not going to do anything before 6 months.
I still have the shelf/flat/volume problem. It’s worse on some days than others. (This actually gives me hope bc it may be swelling related.) I also still have these two little lumps. The left side is worse than the right. I think I’ll def need a revision which sucks bc his are pricey. I guess only time will tell. I’ll post another update tonight. Care to share pics?

Amazing, personalized experience
After years of research, I finally pulled the trigger and got a bbl for my 30th bday. The last year of research was focused mostly on Dr Salama and another doctor in Atlanta. I decided on Dr Salama because of his involvement in research related to the safest way to perform BBLs. And because all his butts didn’t look the same :)
I had my surgery Monday and all went well. I had some complications beginning on Tuesday relayed to too much blood loss in one of my drains. After some testing, Dr Salama determined I had anemia and low hemoglobin. He immediately placed me on an IV for fluids. He and my nurse checked on me throughout the holiday week and were very understanding and attentive. I felt safe, which was my number one concern when choosing a doctor.
My results so far are in line with my desires. I asked for a heart shape with very little shelf. Still a lot of swelling and some normal irregularities but it seems that’s what he’s given me. Will report back but as of today I’d definitely go back to Dr Salama!
