After Researching BBLs for 7 Years, I FINALLY DID IT!
Now that My mind has cleared up long enough to think, where do I start? As the title states, 7 years of research, stalking this site and I chose Del Vecchio. I heard about him from a patient of mines a few years ago. This girl’s body was perfect, natural looking and perfect. Only reason I knew it was work and not some serious tiny waist big booty genes was b/c she declined getting her usual shot in her butt. So I politely asked why, and she told me. And my journey began researching Del Vecchio, other local Docs, and even out of state. After a consult with Del Vecchio in person a few years ago and seeing some girls at his office there for post op, and his safety record, I was all in BUT life happened and had to put it off.
Btw, for reference I’ve always been a busty girl, from size 6 to my size 12s, my weight always went to my breast, fortunately I also always had thick muscular legs so I was ok with it until after child birth and well, that belly fat struggle became real and gave me that sponge bob booty effect for real. I wore waist snatchers, did squats, all types of exercises and nothing helped my butt. I also had a linear indent on each lower butt cheek that was pretty obvious if I wore a bathing suit or ANYTHING fitting. Solution to that padded panties. And if you ever wore padded panties, the struggles with that can be real. I just wanted to do something about this for a while, so I took the jump and here we are...
Day 4 post op...Whew, I ’ve gone through almost every emotion at this point since my procedure, except for anger. My pen rose drains were taken out 2 days after surgery. Fortunately, my close friend is a NP, she came by and removed it for me. I was so swollen even after so much drainage, I wouldn’t have been able to see the sites, to cut the sutures myself, though it was sutured loosely. At that point I had given off so much fluid and don’t think there was anyway, all this fluid was going to just exit the natural way.I’m glad Dr. DelVecchio chose to do that, since most reviews said he didn’t use drains. But my lipo was so aggressive ( he did tell me this beforehand), that was the way to go. My FSU’s given to me from his office wasn’t to be worn after drains come out,
But that being said, I wasn’t ready for open drainage when I got home so, hubby had to run out to quickly get some some women’s pull ups b/c the ABD pads could not contain all the bloody fluid. So I improvised by lightly wrapping each drain with an adult pull up cut in half with sanitized scissors then wore 2 pull ups and used soil pads on the bed. This went on for 2 days ( op day and 1 day post). The first day, I ended up filling up a tall kitchens trash bag with drainage filled briefs and pee’d every hour....
Day 2: first shower felt so good...right side of lower stomach was very swelling, got warm, and very little drainage came out of drain while the left side was draining a lot an pretty flat in comparison. I called Paul the nurse (he was so nice). I was told to tug on it lightly a few times. Got fluid to move after that but still not as much as the left, so I would light tug and massage the area and more fluid came out. No #2 yet but now passing gas.
Day 3: swelling still obvious to right side but not as bad as day before. Still lightly tugged on drains every time I went to the bathroom and it would gush right out. I massaged a lot more in the shower this time and thought I got a good amount out. Wrong! When my friend took out the first drain on the right side, there was a burst of fluid that came out. TG I had briefs and the blue soil pads on hand to catch most of it, Same thing with the right side just a little bloodier, But boy! After the first drain came out I shrunk drastically and felt like I had lost 10lbs, was able to stand straight, and could now slide myself in and out of bed with almost no pain.
Day 4: less pain pain. Only took extra strength Tylenol followed by Arnica in the am then at night I finally took. One Percocet. I went to the bathroom 2x after drinking prune juice this morning though I already started taking colace the day before surgery. Still drinking lots of water/Gatorade and started my iron pills. Making sure I eat healthy but feed the fat. I snack on fresh cherries, berries, pineapple and watermelon, almonds and a few wheat thins to coat my stomach before meds, 2 yogurts per day while in the antibiotics
Every time I get up and see those curves in the shadow on the wall and now the bathroom mirror, I can’t help but smile, I have my first massage in a week,
FYI:
-Be sure to have consistent help the first week at least.
- Be prepared with food, drinks low in sodium.
-Buy a hand held shower head if you don’t already have one.
-Take colace the day before and also get prune juice.
-Arnica definitely helps, my bruising is not what I thought it would be with aggressive lipo.
Be prepared for anything. Not for weak stomached.
Good luck future dolls, I will update with pictures ASAP. Feel free to ask any questions or send pointers on after care. You can never know to much :-)
