Abscess from 360 Lipo BBL 2020 with Fisher

Alright y’all, I’ve been contemplating on whether or not I should tell my story on here but I will. I had my surgery back in July with doctor Fischer! I flew from Washington to have a 360 lipo with bbl. I’m 5’3 and 170. Surgery went well and although recovery was a bitch it all went well, I took all meds exactly as prescribed and followed all instructions. About four weeks after my surgery I started having a slight fever. I thought I had the rona and got tested and it was negative, my body felt weak and I thought I was sick but my right cheek was hurting a lot more then my left. I went to the ER and they did a cat scan and I had two abcesses on my right side! That first hospital stay I was in there for week. They did a needle aspiration drain with CT guidance and had me on IV antibiotics. I was relieved that they didn’t have to make a real incision.. I was out of the hospital for 4 days but was still having fever and chills so they brought me back in and told me I would need surgery at that point. That second stay I was there 8 days. I had surgery the second day and the made a 3 inch incision and got the abcess out, they left the wound opened to pack and repack every day to help make sure all the abcess was out. They then did a second surgery on the 6th day to go in and clean up and stitch me up. (That packing of gauze was the worst pain I ever felt) so they tested the fluid in my abcess (from the drainage the first stay) and they couldn’t get it to grow to find out what kinda of bacteria it was so they let it grow. In the mean time they were trying me on all different antibiotics, even the ones Dr. Fischer recommended and nothing was helping. Two weeks after being out of the hospital they call me and tell me my labs finally cultured (a total of a month later from the first visit to the hospital) and they said the bacteria was a really slow growing bacteria called mycobacterium but they had me on the wrong antibiotics so I would need another surgery to make sure the abscess was cleaned out. I went back into the hospital, they went in and they cleaned everything out again and then I got back home. They said since this bacteria is so slow growing, that I would need to be on antibiotics for months. Which has been messing up my stomach. From this surgery my scar opened and the surgeon said I just have to let it close. On November 1 my scar finally closed. I have pictures of everything but they aren’t pretty so by request I can post them in the comments. I did call Dr. Fischer’s office when I went to the hospital the first time. He told me I should’ve stayed home and he would’ve called in a prescription for me. Mind you, it wasn’t even a prescription that would’ve killed the bacteria. Abcesses won’t go away unless they are drained and then the antibiotics work to keep the abscess gone. Especially one the size of mine. Overall, I was very happy with my results until this happened, I now have a dent in my right cheek and a nasty scar. The abscess was deep in my cheek, right on the muscle. The trauma doctor said it mostly likely came from the procedure. I posted my story in a Facebook group and I have gotten messages from two other girls right now who are going through the same thing. Doctor fisher needs a policy on what he plans to do to fight mycobacterium hurting other people have surgery. He claims he doesn’t have malpractice insurance and uses that as a WOW factor but doctors in Miami often don’t buy the insurance because it is expensive and if sued they would come after his assets and the patient would get a fat check from said insurance. If he was sued and didn’t have malpractice insurance, then he could file for bankruptcy and not have to pay the patient a dime. Read about it. This type of stuff doesn’t happen to the YouTube celebrities that get clout off of this. This happens to real women like me, who worked hard as hell to pay for this surgery, and now have crappy results. Prayers and blessings to all who venture down this plastic surgery road, it’s scary. Do your research.
