Best Doctor I Have Worked With, Puts Safety First

WORTH IT
I had my surgery on May 10th and I won't lie I was pretty nervous going into it, but Dr. Arenas and his staff Fatima/Carolina are all amazing. Dr. Arenas was always very patient with my questions and answered them thoroughly always within a day. He never made me feel rushed. At my consultation, he gave his opinion saying I had very little fat to work with, so to not expect too dramatic results. He initially said he hoped for 1000ccs per side at most. He ended up being able to do 1200ccs per side!
I also had previously been considering redoing my breast augmentation to a smaller size as I felt they were out of proportion to my frame since I am very small at 5'3" and 130 pounds of mostly muscle (I lift heavy weights 5 days a week). However, I was hesitant on doing two surgeries at once, especially since I heard recovery from BBL is one of the toughest ones. He was very understanding and never tried to upsell me or pressure me to have more than one surgery. He even suggested that once I have the BBL, I might be happier with how my breasts look in proportion to the rest of my frame since I will be more of an hourglass shape after.
He was completely right. I don't know how he did it, but he somehow managed to give me hips and a butt when I used to be shaped like a square. I had consulted with other surgeons in the US prior to choosing Dr. Arenas and they all said I needed to gain 10-15 more pounds in order to have any visible results from a BBL because I am pretty athletic with very little fat. Dr. Arenas somehow managed to find all the fat lol. I might upload pictures later if I figure out how to hide my tattoos.
In terms of recovery, I really like that you stay overnight in the hospital after your surgery, that made me feel a lot better, since I was very scared going into the surgery as I had previous complications with my prior breast augmentation. It seems like most US doctors just kick you out after a few hours in a recovery room. I can't imagine going home just a few hours after surgery as I won't lie, I was in a lot of pain. The pain was a 10/10, but I see other girls on here saying it wasn't that bad so maybe my body is just more sensitive. I literally felt like I got hit by a truck and am still covered in deep bruises all over almost a week later. The pain is really the only negative thing about my experience, but that isn't Dr. Arenas' fault, as I said I might just be more sensitive combined with me not having a lot of body fat, so the bruised areas are very sore to the touch. I 1000% recommend him and if I do any future revisions, will definitely be going back to him.

3 weeks post

3 weeks later and it still looks great, but I am so sad because I feel like it is a lot smaller now. I guess I am one of the unlucky people who have a lot of fat absorption. The butt greed is real. I wish I could get a round 2, but it was already such a struggle for me to put on body fat, I don't think another round is possible.

Thanks for keeping up with your reviews!! I'm booked with Dr. Arenas on June 16th for bbl/360 liposuction and like you I had a hard time putting on extra pounds for this procedure. I'm curious how you feel physically after only 3weeks? I'm not new to plastic surgery and know recovery can be rough! Any feed back would be much appreciated thank you!

Sorry dear I just saw this. I was feeling amazing after 3 weeks. I know this sounds bad, but I actually started going back to the gym and lifting weights on June 5th, which isn't even 4 weeks post surgery for me! I started lifting weights again, because I was paranoid that if I lose muscle that I built, my bbl would be pointless as I would have a smaller butt again. Prioritize a healthy diet, lots of protein, good carbs and fats and I think your recovery will be fast like mine was! Please keep me updated on how it went.

My butt seems to be completely healed already. I am surprised. It feels soft and no longer hard at all. I have gone back to lifting heavy weights since 4 weeks post-op.
Overall, I definitely think the surgery was worth my time and money. I am sad that my butt is much smaller than it was right after surgery, but I understand that you can lose up to 40% of the fat transferred. When I get sad about how my butt is smaller, I just remember that my butt was completely flat before and looks a million times better now. I even get many compliments from people that say they want to start working out when they see my butt and ask me what exercises I do. No one has asked if I have surgery. It just looks like I do squats lol, which I do but even better.
