I just want a fuller perkier butt. (see my profile pic for my WishPic) I am slim in the hips so I am not looking for a huge butt, I don't think I would know how to live with that. LOL. I have had a breast reduction and subsequent lipo, about 15 years ago, but I was much younger and worry that my recovery will be harder now. However, I am pretty fit, 5'6", 156 lbs, size 27-28, and I have wanted to do this since my 20's, before it was even a thing. So, here's to a new booty! I have a consultation scheduled with Dr. Mancoll in Virginia Beach this week. I will post more after that, and before pics too.

Tummy sleeeping and before pics:
I have been practicing sleeping on my belly. Too funny. I find if I puts pillow under my hips it takes the lower back pain away!
Also, here are some before pics.

And here we go....
So, I had a consult with my doctor last week. Dr. Mancoll in Virginia Beach, VA. He is great. He is very nice and listens but he is also realistic. Not always what you want to hear, but hey, you won't be mislead. For instance, he told me that all my wish pics were of 20 year old booty's, LOL, and not to forget that the elasticity in my skin will be different than when I was 20. However, he did say my skin looked great! I mean, reality check, I'm not 20 anymore! LOL
So, here is my wish pick. I just think this is perfect (and probably 20 something) but very realistic for what I'm expecting.
So I go back on the 12th of June for pre-op, and then I am scheduled for the 22nd of June for surgery. I have to be honest, I have had second thoughts. I feel selfish for splurging like this. Yes it is something I have wanted all my adult life, but it is not a necessity... My very supportive husband supports me completely. His advice, chalk it up as your one big splurge. You've been talking about this since I've known you. :) <3
Dr. Mancoll believes I will only be in compression for 2-3 weeks. He uses 3 types of Lipo to suppress bruising, promote healing and promote collagen to stimulate skin adhesion. I think that's awesome. He also had the full 3-D machine so I could see results right there in front of my eyes! What a marketing tool! LOL It was from my shoulders to my knees and every little ripple in between. He showed me how just by using lipo sculpting he can smooth my back waist and hips and without even adding any fat grafting my butt looks more shapely. Woo hoo! He said he wanted me up and walking a few hours after surgery and then I will come home. He also said no drains! Amazing!
One of the reasons I chose Dr. Mancoll is because he has all the state of the art technology, which helps prevent needing all of that extra stuff. He has his own operating room, is connected directly to the hospital (which he was president of for 4 years), and has never had to move someone over for an emergency. He did 3 BBL's last week alone, and has been doing fat grafting for over 10 years, to all parts of the body. He does not do injections, because of the danger. I was happy to hear that after hearing the horror stories. He also only uses board certified anesthesiologist. I loved hearing that, because I know you can use assistants.
So, I am off to the races. I decided to go ahead and get it over with because I will be able to enjoy the end of summer and fall, which my husband and I love. It's our best season. So, I will suffer for 6 weeks in the summer!
On the 12th they will send me to be fitted for my compression garments and I will pay my balance in full. Moving so fast!
I asked about scar cream, etc., but he said based on my past scars, which are barely visible, I shouldn't need it. Just stay out of the sun, which I do pretty much anyway.
So, I will begin shopping for my pillow and will post again after my next appointment. Any suggestions on things I will need? Wish me luck!
